Lay Down & Die For Your Politics or Kill To Defend Your Life

So you are a 60-something retired couple who has gone to a political rally to support your presidential candidate.

The opposition has sent in their operatives to try and disrupt the meeting. If they cannot affect a disturbance inside the actual campaign hall, they lie in wait outside to confront the individual supporters as they attempt to leave in peace.

Confront, provoke, damage and record, this is the tactics of the left.

This was the tactics used by the Kremlin supported violent protests during the Vietnam War. This was the tactics of the “Brown Shirt” fascists of 1930s Europe. This is nothing new, only a better world-wide video audience.

If people are harassed or worse yet hurt during the planned and orchestrated verbal assault that turns physical, so what, it is good video footage that will be uploaded on line that day.

After being afraid for your safety and your spouse’s safety you make it to what you believe is the sanctuary of your vehicle with plans to get out of the area post haste and home to security. As you open the car door for your spouse you see the gang of political thugs headed your way, and no friendly members of your political party there to help, and no police.

You left your concealed carry handgun in your vehicle when you went into the rally hall, but now you have it on your person as you attempt to get into the driver’s side of the vehicle.

After shouting insults and threats of violence, attempts are made by the thugs to get their hands on you. You knock one away with the car door and proceed to get inside the vehicle, but not before they grab the door and try to enter by force. You pull your handgun in defense and dispatch the one trying to violently enter your car with a knife in his hand. The first thing you hear after the noise of the pistol going off subsides is one of the thugs loudly complaining “he has a gun that has to be illegal, that’s not fair.” Then two more thugs try to drag your spouse out of her side of the vehicle. There is no time to think, they are going to gravely harm you or even kill you, so you dispatch the two who have their hands on your wife. They go down and do not rise.

The thugs momentarily retreat so you close and lock the car doors. This is not over. The rear passenger side window is smashed out and the thugs are trying to unlock the car door and get inside. You shoot two more. At this point you locate the extra magazines for your handgun. The fools are dying and too stupid to back off.

They surround you and start rocking the vehicle. You know if they get your car on its side you will lose this fight. You start the car, put it in gear and rev the engine to let the fools know you mean to drive away and they need to clear off for their own safety. When they do not retreat you put the car in drive and plow the road. As you drive away you hear through the broken out window, “he can’t hit us with his car that is illegal, someone call 911.”

As you drive away you pass your handgun to your spouse and instruct her to reload, “This may not be over” you say.

You drive a couple of blocks and pull to the side to retrieve from your trunk a pump shotgun, an extra handgun for the wife, and a go-bag of ammo. It is not hard to trace a license plate that will allow the bad guys to find your home and be waiting for you. Or they have operatives in vehicles set up before hand to follow and harass under a non-shooting scenario, why would they not follow you after you violently defend yourself from their crimes?

You have just made international news. The liberal press will brand you a violent, right wing extremist killer who illegally used the 2nd amendment to do bodily harm to some, simply over active citizens who wished to express their side of the on-going presidential campaign debate. You debated them with gun violence when all they wanted to do was debate you in large violent groups only using their fists and foreign flag staffs.

Of course the above is a hypothetical story but as I watched the TV news footage of the past couple of days I saw organized violence on the rise from the left and I truly believe it will get worse.

Trump Will Be DeadTrump Will Be Dead

In the past the right has always been expected to play by the rules and never respond in kind with reactive defensive violence, to physical threats and assaults from the good folks on the left.

Beware the 2016 presidential campaign will be different. There are good folks on the right who are tired of turning the other cheek, especially if the cheek that has been assaulted belongs to their spouse or child.

I am an old man, but as a soldier and a policeman in my younger years I have seen my share of violence. I do not care to yet again be confronted by that part of society’s social interaction.

To this day when I am involved with new young police officers I remind them of my first rule of interaction with the public, “everyone lies.” The bad people lie, the political thugs lie, even the good people lie when scared or hurt and afraid of more violence and pain.

Do not expect anyone to tell the truth after you are forced to defend yourself.

If you however fail to defend your family when it is all over “they” will still lie about you as you lay in the street bleeding on to the concrete. You do not want to look over and see your spouse bleeding-out into the street next to you.

Everyone will have their phones out videoing you as you try to hold on to life and no one will call 911 with the truth.

This shows the wisdom of the founders giving us the 1st, and 2nd ammendments. The rights that protect life.

Ridiculous.

I’m in no shape to outrun thugs. And I’m not one to toy with them. If they want a piece of me if will come at a heavy price. I may not have a firearm at all times but I can do quite a bit of damage with what I always have.

My wife has her own weapon and spare mags....she would be embarrassed to have to sit while I did the heavy/dirty work.

Sound advice. But why does the author assume only of of them will be carrying?

They also lie when they no longer can trust the police to enforce the law. That line of officers watching people being beaten in San Jose and doing nothing was a political watershed that nobody in the media has shown any sign of noticing yet. That one will resonate far past November.

Gives you something to think about. Also, depending on your vehicle, consider the possibility of your drivetrain becoming entangled with protester debris if you are forced to mow thru them.

Not so hypothetical. It happened in Ferguson.

Resets the rules of engagement, doesn't it? Among other things.

It would be a long drawn out guerrilla war fought to conquer a place that not even its own people want to live in.

The same idiots tell us to be tolerant of others who are different or have opposing ideas while they use violence to shut down free speech that doesn’t march in lockstep with their inanity . Anarchy is what they represent .

Leave in peace from a place in which they have been forcibly disarmed.

"Forcibly" you ask?

Sure. Try to go to a presidential candidate's campaign rally, armed as is your usual habit with a concealed or openly carried pistol. See what happens.

I hate to tell you but the rules were changed a long time ago.

I call to your attention two legal cases from 1981. From Wikipedia:

“In two separate cases, Carolyn Warren, Miriam Douglas, Joan Taliaferro, and Wilfred Nichol sued the District of Columbia and individual members of the Metropolitan Police Department for negligent failure to provide adequate police services. The trial judges held that the police were under no specific legal duty to provide protection to the individual plaintiffs and dismissed the complaints. In a 2-1 decision, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals determined that Warren, Taliaferro, and Nichol were owed a special duty of care by the police department and reversed the trial court rulings. In a unanimous decision, the court also held that Douglas failed to fit within the class of persons to whom a special duty was owed and affirmed the trial court’s dismissal of her complaint. The case was reheard by an en banc panel of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.”
“In a 4-3 decision, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals affirmed the trial courts’ dismissal of the complaints against the District of Columbia and individual members of the Metropolitan Police Department based on the public duty doctrine. The Court explained that “[t]he duty to provide public services is owed to the public at large, and, absent a special relationship between the police and an individual, no specific legal duty exists.” The Court adopted the trial court’s determination that no special relationship existed between the police and appellants, and therefore no specific legal duty existed between the police and the appellants”

Isn’t nice to know that unless there is some kind of special relationship (I couldn’t find a definition of this anywhere) the men and women who your taxes support have NO requirement to provide individual citizens with “adequate police services”.

Now, does all of the repeatedly demonstrated lack of police response make sense? Do you now understand what happened in San Joes any better?

Get used to it folks. Unless local politicians and police forces have to buy their own equipment from their personal savings there will be no improvements. What business would tolerate this level of fraud?

“Serve and Protect”???

They start rocking mine, and I’m outta there, no matter how many bodies I have to leave behind.

And the anti-gunners want to limit the size of the magazines we prefer to carry for self defense???? Here's your "real-life" situation. And you shoot to make damn sure your adversary(ies) DO NOT,,,, REPEAT,,,, DO NOT get up to try again. I'll NOT turn to allow the second blow. You anti-gunners can go to hell.

I've got news for this author.. When an attacking crowd hears the first series of gun shots, they ain't stickin' around.

Watch the recent in-store camera footage from yesterday's terrorist attack in Tel Aviv. People running for their lives.

Even firing a warning shot can work wonders as a repellent.
