The man who shot and killed singer Christina Grimmie in Orlando on Friday night was not from that central Florida city, and "traveled to Orlando apparently to commit this crime," Orlando Police Chief John Mina told reporters Saturday.
The gunman -- who authorities say fatally shot himself after shooting Grimmie -- was a 21-year-old white man, and had two handguns, two additional loaded magazines and a large hunting knife, Mina said.

I could be wrong, but I don't think any of the major media outlets described the black, homosexual man as such when he murdered his television news colleague on camera in Virginia about a year ago.
I ran across this young singer a few months ago so I recognized the name. So very odd to see her come to a violent end like this.

I think it's possible that they specified he was white because initially they released no information and many on the net were saying "no name? well he must be ... [insert ethnicity here]" and they wanted to short circuit that. Still no name though, which is odd.

It sounds like it could have been a case of obsession/stalking. There are some real strange people out there, and unfortunately, they often fixate on young women.
I’ve been stalked, and received sexually explicit letters without return addresses in the mail. I never knew who the stalker was. I knew another person who was stalked, and her stalker was arrested loitering with a gun in the parking lot where she worked.
I wonder if the killer posted to her twitter or facebook account?
These gun owners who do this makes Hillary’s job VERY easy.
