Those are pretty far ranging definitions. It makes one wonder how one word could have so many diverse meanings.

Gorgeous bird! I was thinking of a 4th of July banner at first, having never lived in a part of the country where these birsds are common!

Never having seen one in the city, when seen on our country road/drive, I was amazed. The sight froze me with the intense colors. Poured over the bird ID books we had and at last found the correct photo. We’ve several that come in daily to splash around in the bird bath. They love to keep clean. Just east of us is a flock of bluebirds which have returned year after year. They, too, are a sight to behold. Hummingbirds are a common here. We’ve about half dozen feeders up and constantly replenishing the syrup; cleaning the feeders.

Birds are like clouds and a pleasant sight to ponder in thoughtful, silent moments.

Yes, in fact, live just a few miles from Frisco. Fresno, your word taken as fact as this one has a location unknown. When googled found it to be close to Houston. NO WONDER, it is unknown :-)

Honestly, the only time I’ve encountered the word “nonpareil” has been on the label of a jar of capers.

That word is also on the label of the bottle of capers I have-

Hillary is the liar nonpareil
But Obama is a close second-
And all the scandal out there
Is more than either reckoned

The Hillary campaign donors
With Wall St. by their name
Makes it all too clear that
Pay to play is their game...

The department of injustice
Just keeps on redacting stuff-
In November let’s show them
That we’ve finally had enough
