Yup, we all know it's coming and it's going to be real rough going. Everyone thinks property is expensive now, it's gonna be more so soon. Then there will be a push for minimum wages to be $100 per hour or more, ad infinitum. Better stock up on whisky and other goods to trade, before hyperinflation takes off.

They are legal currency, un-backed, but issued by the treasury, and therefore no interest need be paid on it.

We have been trying to devalue the dollar but other countries are in worse shape so their currency has devalued more.
Yes, China has been buying and hoarding gold. We had the advantage because oil had to be bought in dollars. Russia, China, Iran, and other countries have been making deals to use other currencies.

I meant suv. And i also meant before the current version, the 2001-2010 escapes were more of a truck body suv. The new ones turned us off, they are now buil on the focus car platform.
