What about mandatory minimum 2 man team patrols? If that means a bit less coverage and slightly extended response times, so be it. If they’re not already doing it.

I don’t see much of a crackdown. Someone charged with murder or attempted murder doesn’t care if they are also charged with a “hate crime” or a crime against a police officer. It’s all symbolic and will have no real effect for as long as the racist communist is in our White House.
I like the idea of assault with bodily injury to a public servant going from misdemeanor to felony, but they already had that by charging appropriately. Mostly, this is just sending “a resolute message”. In other words, nonsense.

Nothing against the protection of LEOs, but reactionary legislative action hasn’t been a friend of Constitutional liberty.
The cop killers keep ending up dead. They’ll have to be charged posthumously.

All laws have to be for the protection of everyone, not just their chosen few.
The police are putting their lives on the line to protect us and our way of life, just like U.S. veterans. I think they do deserve special protection and consideration because of this.
Shooting or moving against a police officer with intent to harm should be a capital offence with death penalty upon conviction.

I totally agree. There are plenty of other bureaucrats sitting behind desks shuffling needless stacks of paper that could do that.
We don't need more of a class society with special exemptions and treatments towards one group or another.
