What about mandatory minimum 2 man team patrols? If that means a bit less coverage and slightly extended response times, so be it. If they’re not already doing it.

Also Screwy Louie from NOI said "We need to raise and army of 10,000 black men to kill those that are killing us"(sic) meaning Whites and cops, not black males and Planned Parenthood.

Both police murderers were NOI.

The elephant in the room that no one is talking about is black on White violence.

I don’t see much of a crackdown. Someone charged with murder or attempted murder doesn’t care if they are also charged with a “hate crime” or a crime against a police officer. It’s all symbolic and will have no real effect for as long as the racist communist is in our White House.

I like the idea of assault with bodily injury to a public servant going from misdemeanor to felony, but they already had that by charging appropriately. Mostly, this is just sending “a resolute message”. In other words, nonsense.

>> the Police Protection Act, which? aims to strengthen penalties for crimes committed against police officers.

Is that to say the current law is too permissive?

Nothing against the protection of LEOs, but reactionary legislative action hasn’t been a friend of Constitutional liberty.

The cop killers keep ending up dead. They’ll have to be charged posthumously.

“I don’t see much of a crackdown.”

Yes. This doesn’t say anything specific about BLM, either.

Clickbait headline.

Sorry but police officer's or any other public servant's lives aren't anymore precious than mine or my family's.

All laws have to be for the protection of everyone, not just their chosen few.

The police are putting their lives on the line to protect us and our way of life, just like U.S. veterans. I think they do deserve special protection and consideration because of this.

Shooting or moving against a police officer with intent to harm should be a capital offence with death penalty upon conviction.

True, but then again, I think they also need to get out of the revenue enhancement duties forced upon them by bureaucrats.

Aww, a “huge move” in my books would be raiding a big BLM meet and killing anything that runs or resists. Kill a hundred of them in one big raid like that and the nonsense would stop... But maybe I’ve been watching too many Eliot Ness movies?

I totally agree. There are plenty of other bureaucrats sitting behind desks shuffling needless stacks of paper that could do that.

'I think they do deserve special protection and consideration because of this.'

We don't need more of a class society with special exemptions and treatments towards one group or another.

''The Police Protection Act will extend hate crime protections to law enforcement officers and increase criminal penalties crimes committed against law enforcement.''

The laws should be equal across the board. We have plenty of laws on the books that cover any problems facing society as it is.

Do you beat your loved ones? What type of question is that?

I don't hate the police. Why do you favor one group over another?
