Reagan won 1000+ delegates vs Ford in 1976.

Cruz won less than 500 vs Trump in 2016.

And a good chunk of Cruz’s delegates are in reality never Trump delegates. Cruz had the never Trump field to himself and he was such a bad candidate he couldn’t seal the deal.

Both Levin and Cruz will endorse Mr. Trump. There is NFW either will take any steps that help The Beast. There’s a long way to go in this election cycle and both are trying to push Mr. Trump away from Bernie supporters and closer to grass roots conservatives.

You can’t unring the bell of a post primary months long Hillary enabling tantrum by Ted Cruz and his supporters. Sore loser Cruzers having a tantrum on the floor of the convention in no way helps Trump beat Hillary.

I fully expect Cruz to heartily support Trump tonight and through this election.

I don't. If Trump wins, that will block Cruz in 2020 and he doesn't want to have to wait 8 years.

Cruz will try to find a way to undermine this election so he can say "see I told you so".

Reagan appeared on the podium with Ford with hands raised.

These elites really don’t get it. We’re fed up with them. Ryan and the rest of the elites are headed to the lobbying firms, I hope. While Trump heads to the people and tells the voters who to replace the rinos with.

Levin is a deceiver, or losing his mental competence. But then that is a given for all of the Cruzlim Blubberhood.

“James Baker, who later worked closely with Reagan when he was president, thought a Ford-Reagan ticket would have been appealing to voters and could have happened had either side been a bit more forthcoming. “You know, Mr. President,” he told Reagan, “if President Ford had asked you to run with him, he would have won.” Baker added, thinking of what happened in the next four years, “And you might never have been president.”

“You’re right,” Reagan responded. “If he had asked, I’d have felt duty-bound to run.”

Baker continued: “President Ford didn’t ask you because we received word from your campaign that you would join him for a unity meeting only on condition that he wouldn’t offer you the vice presidency. And besides that, you very publicly shut down the movement by your supporters in Kansas City to draft you for the vice presidential nomination.”

“Look, I really did not want to be vice president, and I said so at the time,” Reagan responded. “But I don’t have any recollection of telling anyone to pass a message to President Ford not to offer me the spot. If he had asked, I would have felt duty-bound to say yes.”

Baker could hardly believe what he was hearing. “I was shocked,” he recalled. “How different history might have been. Given the intensity of their primary battle, Ford really didn’t want Reagan as his running mate, but the president might have asked if he had thought Reagan would accept. And with a Ford-Reagan ticket in 1976, I think two portraits might be missing from the White House walls today—those of Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan.”

Ford did not ask Reagan to join the ticket, but he did invite him to join the victory celebration on the convention stage. Their clasped hands conveyed at least the appearance that unity prevailed among the Republicans. Reagan’s supporters demanded a speech from their man; his remarks caused their hearts to flutter anew and some to consider demanding a recount. But he understood that the moment wasn’t his, and he stepped aside before provoking a stampede, but not before receiving an ovation louder and more heartfelt than Ford got.”

Cruzlims lie, inspired by the Father of lies.

Levin is a Cruzlim.

I guess it’s a question of “endorsement” definition. To me, it’s like signing my name to the back of a check. It’s a “I’m vowing, with my honor, that this check is valid”.

Reagan speaking about the troubles of the world are A, B, C. and what we need to do about it is D, E, F.

Other than him using the Title and Name “President Ford”, where does he “Endorse” Ford?

“I guess he also forgets that Reagan offered Ford the VP spot in 80.....”

I did not know that. I sure wish Ford would have taken it, leaving the smirking NWO mole in the cold.

Sure sounds like an endorsement - not only that, he made an ad for Ford.

Sorry to say Mark Levin has become unhinged with Trump.

I thought by now he would have regained his senses.

.Cruz is still a solid conservative

To be blunt, this election has provided the evidence that there really isn't a "conservative" vs "liberal" in American politics. Those are just labels that the globalist/open-borders crowd uses to keep the masses happy.

“Totally different times and scenario’s - Cruz cannot creat a Reagan “moment”, he is only slitting his own political throat.”

Perhaps why Trump did not put conditions on his speech. Just making sure to hand him a very sharp knife indeed.

I think when you go on national TV and say, “vote for this guy” then, yes, that is an endorsement.

Only Bill Clinton would parse those words and say it was something other than an endorsement.

If “vote for this guy” is not an endorsement, then what exactly is an endorsement?

“Did Reagan sign a pledge to? Ted did.”

Another good point. Levin has lost his mind.

So far two of Cruz’s biggest haters, Ryan and McCarthy, have NOT endorsed Trump. I suspect they will have on thing in common with Cruz.

Cruz will not endorse. And I don’t think a Cruz endorsement would give Trump one vote anyway. Trump knows this and he’s going to allow Cruz to totally destroy what’s left of his career in one speech.

Actually, if Cruz is half as smart as he thinks he is, he knows his career is over. Therefore, he’ll fight Trump harder his last two years in office than he’s ever fought anyone. But after tonight, with no endorsement, he is irrelevant.

I’m more concerned about McConnell, Ryan, Preibus, Bush and their Chamber of Commerce pals undermining Mr. Trump than anything Sen. Cruz can do.

Reagan didn’t need artificial pledges.

His integrity and common sense was enough to guide him.

I’m happy to predict Cruz will not be the nominee in 4 years either.

Correct. And that speech was one of Reagan’s finest.

I was going to post a youtube link to that, as well. But I think someone else has already done that.

Carter represents the Stupidest man to ever sit in the office...I don't think he was the stupidest,, as he was a part of our nuclear sub program, but he was certainly dangerously naive. Obung-hole definitely takes the crown for being intellectually lazy and blindly stupid educationally.

Not sure Levin is FOR Hillary. He just wants to be right. If Trump loses to Hillary he can rant and rave about how if his stupid listeners had taken his advice Cruz would have won. Now, because his listeners are so stupid we’re stuck with Hillary. But, if we survive four years we’ll have the opportunity to redeem ourselves and elect “The Grate One’s” choice, Cruz. “Grate” as grates on my nerves.
