FR brothers and sisters, this thread is for all the Ted Cruz supporters.
I'm a proud Texan, and ashamed of Ted Cruz. I am supporting the Trump / Pence ticket all the way. This experiment in a republic form of government with limited federal controls will not survive a Hillary presidency. I believe in my heart that Trump will be a transformational president. The good he'll do will outlive his Trump Towers.
As for Ted, I don't think he'll win another election here in the great state of Texas. That being said, there are FReepers who still support Ted. I'd like to hear from you. Why are you still defending or supporting Ted? What about this man and his behavior still draws your support for him at the cost of our republic. Because, that's what at stake in this election.
Cruz is a politician; he knows campaigns get ugly. If he’s such a delicate doily then he should’ve not entered the race.
And... why is it OK for Cruz to trash Trump, but not OK for Trump to respond? That door swings both ways, Baby.
Why are we still talking about Cruz? He isn’t even running.

Does anybody really think Cruz isn’t going to begin a write-in campaign soon? He is determined to hurt Trump, even if that means electing Hillary. When he said, “vote your conscience”, I totally interpreted that as “write my name in on your ballot”.
My most humble opinion: Thread not helpful. Most Cruz supporters will vote for Trump. The few who are like Cruz themselves won’t, ever. No point at all in antagonizing anyone who is a likely Trump voter by rubbing their noses in Cruz’s failure. Yesterday he behaved miserably, but that cannot be attribute to most of his supporters, most of whom I imagine are just as disappointed in his behavior as we Trump supporters. To those who think Cruz did a great thing yesterday, buzz off and do what you want. To the rest, please vote for Donald Trump and help save this country.

And Cruz’s dad had called Trump the as anti christ or some such. You can expect to toss insults around without getting some back.
And zero outrage that a Cruz backer put it that Trump’s wide was a whore in a campaign ad. You people have no principles just expediency.

Cruz’ wife IS ugly and she is a GLOBALIST which makes her untenable as First Lady of the United States, a SOVEREIGN nation. A Sovereign Nation if Trump can stop the sellout to the New World Order. Trump is our ONLY chance!
Melania Trump can make a GREAT First Lady. She is well spoken, articulate, and speaks several languages. She can put Jackie in the shade. What a great opportunity for America.

Of course he knows campaigns get ugly. As I said, he obviously never got over below-the-belt attacks on his wife and father. Those were attacks that Trump should’ve avoided in the first place, totally unnecessary.
Fellow Freepers. Some nice responses, and some...well not so pleasant. Some sent Freepmail, and called me names, etc. That was unnecessary, and would venture to guess was you venting more than anything else. I guess we bring to the conversation what burns inside us. I honestly only wanted an honest discussion on why Freepers who support Ted find him credit worthy.
Can we agree that Ted has done irreparable harm to himself, and his future ambitions. There is a way to play the game, and he got out witted by a street smart NYer.
Ted’s game was to cozy up to Trump, and let him do the dirty work. Trump’s, game was to get the big guns out first. First Jeb, then Rubio. Ted, rode those coat-tails, and “pal’ed” around with Trump.
Trump, at the end, turned his guns on Ted. And, Ted did not have the gravitas to counter Trump. He kept the least liked senator around until the end, and he was easy pickings.
Ted thought that his quoting the Bible, and constitution would resonate. It did not. His actions, and deceit did him in. Trump was able to show that Ted was a liar, and that was the end of the story.
As for Freepers who accused me with intentions on starting a list to find Ted supporters, and getting them banned. I’m a big boy, and can handle dissent. Getting you banned, etc., is not worth my time.

You’re not just day-dreaming, you’re lost in the rain clouds. Donald Trump owes NOTHING to Ted Cruz. Donald Trump is THE WINNER. Suck it up, WINNER TAKES ALL! Trump allowed Cruz a ten minute speech and Cruz spoke 23 minutes and hung himself. Trump was generous, but Cruz was a little infant wearing poopy diapers.

What get’s me about that whole story about the 9 year old girl is that he used her, her emotions, and her loss as a prop to make case for himself. I hope to God the young girl didn’t see that speech last night.
Cruz was still a Canadian citizen less than two years ago.

I experienced all that from alleged Cruz supporters, and I would have voted for either, which wasn’t good enough for the intolerant, arrogant, “consistent conservatives” who left.
Most of whom I thought were long-term plants activated in desperation to save America from everyone but Hitlery.
