Did Archbishop Fulton Sheen prophesy about the condition of (many parts of) our Church today?

I've been reading about what I'm guessing are Ephesians 6:12's "rulers, authorities and powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms", specifically about the Jezebel spirit right now, looking for a better understanding about the world around me.
The more I learn about this realm and its players, as weird as this might sound to almost everyone I know, the more current things make sense!
I've read that, if we could see them with our physical eyes, we'd see they are so many that they would darken the sun and I don't doubt it.
Just the Jezebel spirit alone has been phenomenally effective and destructive, past and present, and they are Legion.
I do believe that things will accelerate as we approach the end. Christ repeatedly compares the end to birth pains (see: Matthew 24:8). A major feature of birth pains is that they get more severe and frequent as the birth event approaches.

Thirty years ago I would have agreed with you. Now we have thousands of Muslims chopping off heads and Hillary being pushed and dragged towards the White House like some monster on the back of a medieval cart.
Thirty years ago I would never have believed we could sink this low and lose so much. But we have.
Thirty years ago people actually had lives that didn't involve politics. Even liberals had day jobs. People didn't live on brain altering antidepressants. Colleges still actually taught subjects other than Marxism. The press still paid heed to at least the veneer of critical thinking.

Not at all, and I never said that and never will. God has God's job, and each one of us has our jobs. Our jobs are to do our jobs - to fight evil and declare good. Let God worry about the end of the world, it's above our pay grade. But of course we'll notice what is going on around us, and why things are so bad. It's just information to help us understand what we see and hear. We need nothing else - we have our orders.
However, when Fulton J. Sheen wrote Communism and the Conscience of the West, Moscow would have been the logical city:
But the twentieth century will join the counterchurch because it claims to be infallible when its visible head speaks ex cathedra from Moscow on the subject of economics and politics, and as chief shepherd of world communism.
But, these days, I'm not so sure that's still the case.
He could not have foreseen the death of the Soviet Union that came well after he wrote that, or that they were killed by their own satanic ideology.
Fwiw, several messages in True Life In God speak to the Soviet's death and also talk about the rebirth of Russia by His Hand (I Will Resurrect Russia As I Have Resurrected Lazarus), and also that Russia Will Be The Symbol Of God's Glory.
The message Prophecy On Russia, December 13, 1993, said that the Russia now reborn also got a choice:
"and now I am waiting to be gracious to you, Russia, for in the end you will glorify Me, I tell you, while others will be destroying you will be building; while many will be falling, your shepherds will be rising, if you put your trust in Me;"But...this Save doesn't come with a "Get out of Jail Free From Future Consequences" card.and,
"while some of My Own, sitting at table with Me, will be wickedly betraying Me, you, you will be the one who will stretch out your hand to defend My Name, My Honour and My Sacrifice, and so every one of your sins will have been paid;"
That message goes into some of the details, but here's the world-wide, universal gist of it for Russia, and for everyone else, too:
Russia, your role is to honour Me and glorify Me; the Festivity has yet to come, but it depends from you in which manner that Day will come:I guess we'll just have to wait and see.do not let Me make you return to Me by fire,
but with bonds of Peace;"
To be honest, though I read the material as though it is what it says it is, I'm never 100% sure what to make of the messages in TLIG.
In fact, sometimes I even wonder if the material could be some sort of Russian propaganda, given the specific messages about Russia.
But...in what to me is perhaps surprising support for the prophecies, compared to our faded former glory days, at least as we here now like to look back fondly and see them, today's Russia is looking way better than we are in these ever-so-interesting times.
We'll just have to wait and see, but Fulton J. Sheen might have been more accurate if he had said Washington DC instead of Moscow!

I first discovered this material in the book of messages called True Life In God after I read the book Heaven is Real, But So Is Hell.
Imho, reading that book first helped me to better understand what TLIG was about.
However, all of the messages in True Life In God, including new messages since that book was published and more, are all free on the TLIG.org website, too.
Like I was saying, I'm not 100% sure what it is, exactly.
None the less, I've gotten tremendous benefit, a better understanding and occasional insights from reading and thinking about the messages, so I'm happy to pass it along to anyone who is curious.
