Brady’s missing phone:Hillary’s missing e-mails::Patriots fans:Democrats
I wouldn’t go that far. There are irrational conservative fanatics as well.
Gee. I would think that someone as astute as you might see the difference between personal property that a company has no right to, and a cobbled together email server manufactured specifically to circumvent lawful access to the information being processed by it.
Your analogy would be more accurately written:
Bradys missing phone:Hillarys missing e-mails::kosciusko51&LikeMindedPeople:Democrats
LOL. You proved my point.
A smart Pats fan would have said there was no similarity the first statement, therefore, there is no similarity to the second statement.
Those who are caught are punished. The punishment may result in fewer "everybodies" taking the risk.
And those that are caught destroying evidence are punished. The punishment may result in fewer “everybodies” destroying evidence.
My statement was more accurate than the faulty one you constructed.
Let me see if I understand you. You believe that there is no similarity between Brady’s phone and Hillary’s, therefore,
“Bradys missing phone:Hillarys missing e-mails::kosciusko51&LikeMindedPeople:Democrats”
means there is no similarity between me (and likeminded people) and the Democrats.
If that is the case, I agree with you.
“If you were married to the world’s most famous super model, would you turn over you phone to an organization that has leaked private information before?”
I thought what you said at the time - and I’m a girl. Texts from/to Gisele would have found their way to TMZ, National Enquirer, even the alphabet networks by the next news cycle.
And since we’re on the subject again, why over the many years of Brady’s career didn’t one officiating team somewhere, sometime ever notice how really ‘off’ the game balls were in the Patriot’s games ... if they were? Surely they handle the balls, actually used in the games, even more than equipment managers and other staff. Thought that at the time.
Yet here we still are because, apparently, you can always count on the envy and jealousy that many ‘fans’ have for a good looking, VERY successful NFL QB married to “the worlds most famous super model”. Works every time cuz haters gotta hate. And I am NOT a Patriots fan.
No, you don’t have it right.
It is a standard “A is to B as C is to D” statement.
You don’t support Brady’s right to privacy (Brady’s missing phone) in the same way Democrats support Hillary’s right to have her own email server.
They are both wrong.
I have a feeling this is Deebo’s last year and in saying that, he would probably tell Goodell where the sun don’t shine.
I get you 100%. The texts between my wife and myself have often been pretty, um, er.........racy. not what they call sexting either
We enjoy the humor.
She’s beautiful, and I have a few great pics not for public attention.
It’s all good marital fun, and no one else’s business.
I doubt I’m in the minority of strong marriages either.
You are spot on.
The NFL not only “leaked” information, but openly and KNOWINGLY lied.
But there are many on here who are fine with that, because, hey, principles are only for talking.
They would raise holy Hell (and often do) about the government doing this or that to obtain by coercion or other methods, private information to use AGAINST that person, but have no problem at all when it is someone rich or famous.
They have this perverted double standard that they aren’t entitled to the same protections we have (or should have)
I'm sorry, you are trying to mind read me. That's not what I wrote, and that's not what I meant. What I mean is that that Brady's missing phone affects Patriots' fans the way Hillary's missing e-mails affect Democrats. No more and no less.
I really don't care what the league does with Brady. If he violated the collective bargaining agreement by destroying the phone, he is guilty. If not, then not.
There is nothing in the collective bargaining agreement about handing over personal non-work related confidential material.
That is what the crux of this manufactured vendetta boiled down to.
Not having read the CBA, I’ll have to take you word for it, with the same grain of salt that I use for the head of the DOJ, FBI, and the NFL.
He’s been telling off Goodell a lot, almost every rule change on tackling was met with derision by him. But he’s finally learned subtlety. Technically speaking none of what he said could be construed as failure to cooperate, even though it’s saturated with disrespect.
A grain of salt is not in and of itself a bad thing.
The NFL did not punish Brady for destroying his cell phone. They could not do that, and they knew they couldn’t because it was not a company phone, it was his personal property.
What they punished him for was “Failure to cooperate”, a very convenient, catch-all similar to “Treason” used by the British Crown in the 18th century, and the Interstate Commerce Clause in the COnstitution, used by liberals to mean anything they want it to mean, and Article 58 of the Soviet Penal Code, which was used to facilitate getting anyone into the Gulags they thought should be there.
A very nice, highly subjective “crime” that can be used as a Swiss Army Knife by unscrupulous people, of which the NFL is led by, and rife with.
I think he figures he has nothing to lose by speaking out.
