Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X is the 33rd season of Survivor (for those unfamiliar with the show, there are two seasons each year). It begins Wednesday, September 21, 2016 on CBS at 8/7c with a special 90 minute episode.
The players range in age from 18 to 52. There are seven from California, including six from Southern California, two each from Florida and New York, and one each from Colorado, Idaho, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington.
Given that the youngest Gen-Xer is 33 and the oldest Millennial is 31, it's possible that the theme might have been created after the cast was assembled. This has been suspected of some past Survivor seasons.

Good vote off at TC last night. The love birds had a strong alliance with the other two on different tribes. At the merge they would have ran the list

Dear Australian Survivor: You need to make a BluRay set of your season and rush it to Amazon for Christmas delivery. It would be the ultimate gift for a survivor fan. Fantastic twists all throughout the show, great finale, about as old school survivor as you can get these days.
You’d make more off of that than you did off of airing the show on Australian TV.
Oh, and might as well not bother doing another season. Two awful experiments, you finally get everything perfect, leave on a high note and enjoy the residuals from the sales. Or if you’re lazy, just sell it to Netflix.
That finale was great. The final challenge was ruthless on the body. .....and of course the girl who wanted to be on the show since watching richard hatch turns out to be the winner old school survivor style.
You are right....it will be all downhill from this season.

The old boy club reigns, again.
It has been amazing that the women are falling fast. The last two, though, really brought it on themselves in different ways. Painted big targets on their backs.
I think the young guys think they have a plan - but they may get overtaken by events.
Merge next week - the game is really on.
I think the young folks have a bit too much revenge on their minds and that might work to the advantage of the geezers.
Figgy and Michaela were their own worst enemies.
Who knows how it will play out.
We don’t have a favorite yet at our house ;)
I will miss Michaela. She was cool.
