Once back home a small bird came banging her beak on our window for days. Wife said it was her spirit.

Cardinals were my mother's favorite bird. She said that at her mother's funeral, she saw a cardinal perched in a tree during the entire service, and it calmed her. After my mother died, I also saw a cardinal at the grave side service, and it also stayed perched through the service. Later that day, at my Aunt & Uncle's home, we noticed a pair of cardinals building a nest beneath their kitchen window, and they nested there, raising their hatchlings every year until my Aunt had to move to a nursing home.

To this day, I look for cardinals, and when ever I see one, I get goosebumps.

What is your cat's name? - so I know what to call her the next time she stops by.

LOL!! She was "Sweetheart."
