The University of Missouri (MU) is renaming its “Unisex” restrooms on campus in response to complaints that the current label isn’t inclusive.
Henceforth, restrooms intended for use by both men and women will simply be labeled “toilet.” The change is apparently meant to accommodate student complaints that the “unisex” label, intended to encompass everybody, is actually exclusionary and hurtful.
“Unisex is just such an uncomfortable and outdated word,” MU student Sterling Waldman told the Columbia Missourian. The word, Waldman said, excludes people who identify as neither male nor female. Waldman serves as the social justice chair in MU’s student senate, and successfully pushed for the student government to donate $5000 for the sake of relabeling bathrooms around campus.

Better phonic: lug-but-qui-be-fra-dumbs. Not that there is anything wrong with that and probably work well with the French. Oops, I forgot those who think they're a plant. We'll just call them vegamites with a pretty flower on the sign. I keep leaving out the insect-identifying humans. Amphibians? Reptiles? Marsupials? Damn, what about the interstellar galactic mixed who identify with Star Trek and Star Wars?
The acronym is going to get so long that I suggest we just call them DUMB-ASSES. FREAKS will work, too.

How long before they use the Target solution and spend $10’s of millions putting a dozen private restrooms on every level in every building?

This jerk has time to complain about bathroom signs? He’s clearly not pre-med or engineering. He also gets to spend $5000 worth of other people’s money for new signs? Who would entrust a useless snowflake like this with that responsibility?
I’d kick him out of college and offer him a choice of the Army or jail.
Unisex is inclusive? Not the Onion ... these people are crazy.
The horror is that the social justice grads tend to have learned all the entitlement programs and government tracking systems, so they get hired by HR and enforce this crap on private companies and non-profits.
It is a shame that we have so much material and no Monty Python to mock it! I know that there were/are others, but they did so well with mocking officious dimwits!

Might be a problem for Gov. Jay Nixon (D). Given his STELLAR performance with Ferguson, I'm not sure what other options he has for his future.

I find the word “football” exclusionary since ball refers to a part of the mail anatomy. Also why is the team comprised of only men. It should reflect the demographics of the student body. To do otherwise is unfair to Hispanics, Asians and females.

They want inclusive. But apparently inclusive does not include actual students.
Yes, especially if they are looking for something to call "it". There are more appropriate nouns out there. Even though "unisex" is listed as both a noun and an adjective in the online dictionary, it really sounds more like an adjective....particularly when they are talking about a...well - uh - *toilet*. (but 'ellifino)
...and I don't think the word "unisex" existed when we used hard-back dictionaries...sigh...
