Dang dude, that’s a “my dog is dead, I’m out of food and I just ripped my last pair of pants after I fell in the mud” song.
Sweet voice, though.
You okay?

In other words, classic country music! :)

This was a sensation when it first came out.
LeAnn was a Patsy Cline clone.

Voice like silk.
Not a big country fan, but I love the picking and sliding of the guitars.

Wow...thanks for the memory. I saw LeeAnn in a free outdoor concert sometime in the late 90s at the MidSouth fair in Memphis. She was great. You should also listen to her duet with Eddie Arnold in “Cattle Call”.

I went to see her a few years ago. I don’t know if it was her or just poor acoustics, but I couldn’t understand a word she was singing.

Bill Mack wrote this with Patsy Cline in mind and held on to the song for years before getting it to LeAnne Rimes to record it. Mack was a DJ in Wichita Falls for a long time and then moved to the DFW area. He was originally from the little Panhandle town of Shamrock.

Gosh I love that.

Her personal life and voice have been on the skids for years. Now most of the press she gets is paid pap strolls at the airport or grocery store.
