She will be rehearsed for the debate and give scripted answers even if they don’t necessarily match the question. Most candidates do this. Even Trump uses his cliche’s at times like a crutch, but he is asked 100 times more questions than she is.

You are spot on with your analysis of Hillary’s delivery, prepared vs unprepared. A 2008 documentary about her said the same thing, and showed clips from a 2008 primary debate in which she lost control because she was asked a hostile follow up question that completely flustered her.
Regarding Trump’s performance tonight, I also agree about his authenticity. He was light on substance, but his demeanor was excellent. I’ll excuse him on the substance because the questions were bad for various reasons, and Trump had to debate Lauer the interrupter at the same time.
