If Seattle does a mass demo on Sunday, that will probably be it for me.
It was intersecting to me that Denver got away with so many helmet-to-helmet hits on Cam Newton. The Refs clearly did not care. This kind of thing was exactly what the league is trying to avoid, and the Zebras were taking a blind eye in the first game of the year as one of their biggest stars was repeatedly concussed.
One revolution at a time, I guess. These days Black Lives Matter, but Cam Newton is on his own.
Agreed the NFL is a cesspool of anti American thugs.
There was a time, not that many years ago, when this was the “standard”, if you will. I want those days back.

In a way I was glad cuz if everyone starts doing it it will become meaningless. They will all look like zombies.
When a crybaby disrespects the Flag and National Anthem they disrespect those millions that fought and died for the rights of the crybaby.
I tend to agree. But here is the mind blowing thing: After the modern product went all glitzy and celebration dancing/chest slapping became the norm, it only became even more popular. It’s bigger than all the other pro US sports combined, I think because it fits the culture so well.

With all my heart, I truly hope that every one of these racist a-holes that refuses to stand for the anthem suffers a career ending injury.
The NFL is very close to learning a harsh lesson: The money these a-holes covet is driven by middle-aged white guys many of whom are on the verge of telling the NFL to screw off.
It’s gonna wind down and go away on its own. 106 players were on the field last night, 1 kneeled. By the time we get out of September nobody is going to be paying any attention to who kneels and stands because most everybody will stand and things will have moved on.
A QB’s role demands protection. Not just by the rest of the defense, the refs and the coaches- but by himself too.
We tuned in to watch the opener. Then I saw Brandon Marshall on his knee during the anthem, and turned it off. After watching the Broncos for 30+ years, it will stay off.
To hell with the NFL.
