Team North America is an under 24 team composed of Canadians and Americans. Team Canada and USA were prohibited from picking these players. The young guys are mostly fast and offensively skilled.
The end result is that overall this benefits team Canada at the expense of team USA. There really isn’t a player on Team NA that would have made team Canada but there probably 3 that could have made team USA.
Personally I hope this turns out to bite the Canadians in the butt since they picked mostly a big and slow defensive team. Go team NA!
Team North America is made up of players age 23 and under who are excellent players who didn’t make either Team USA or Team Canada.
“Young Guns”!
The teams weren’t allowed to chose the young guys and team USA sought a waver from this rule. Obviously they were rejected. It does sound fair to make it a team of young players who simply didn’t make the national team.
- Team USA would have definately taken Saad and Jones (Bluejackets) and probably Gaudreau (second American in scoring to Kane) if they could.
US v. Canada tonight.
Win or die for Team USA.
I’ve been pretty sick since Saturday. I’m just getting discharged from the VA right now.
I’m hoping to watch the majority of the game.

Just sitting around the house tonight w my dog. Felt like I should be doing something important, but couldn't put my finger on it."
I’m sorry to hear about your illness. I hope you are feeling better.
I’m sure that game didn’t help. ;d
Thanks for the well wishes. Seems like I’ve just hit a bad patch of luck with one thing or another. Still not 100%.
I caught the 3rd period of Sweden/Finland in the ER. Looked like one of the better games. Nice and chippy!
Went to bed at the second intermission last night. Too exhausted to stay up and it was clear the USA was outmatched and outplayed.
This years Penguins was the Stanley Cup winning team with the most American born players ever. And how many Penguins did you see on the USA team?
Zero. Only Coach Mike Sullivan was behind the bench, stuck having to listen to Torts.
