On Thursday, the Department of Agriculture began asking for companies to join a pilot project to allow SNAP recipients to purchase their groceries online. If successful after a two-year pilot period, the program may be expanded....

Does Amazon participate? This sounds like the sort of project Jeff Bezos would support through the Washington Post.

Easy enough to game the system as it is. Once it gets online it will be a nightmare.

Cool.

I think I’ll divorce my wife. She can live here and we can put in for every kind of social program in existence.

If we are going to print money and redistribute to leeches I might as well take as much as I give. I should do my part to push us all of the cliff faster - right.

The next generation of soldiers will be rounding us up - not fighting for us. It’s now or never.

Something tells me that it won’t be used to order quinoa and arugula online.

At least now, the poor food stamp people will not have to interrupt their busy days not doing nothing. Now all we gotta do is make sure they all have free computers and internet.

The Poor can play video games all day on their computers and take a break to order their free SNAP cards. America...what a country! Until the money runs out and the USA can’t make the payments on its insane debt.

Food Stamps is a program that is crying out to be abolished by the Trump Administration.

Oh, good, I was so concerned that EBT users were wasting too much of their precious time driving to the grocery store to spend my tax dollars.

Can’t wait to see the first grocery-laden drone land in the ‘hood.

The notion of “food desert” is (like “poor”) problematic.

A major definition includes living more than one mile from a grocery store. Really? If you can’t walk 20 minutes with your own cheap grocery cart, distance & food isn’t your problem. My mother & I did more than that regularly when I was under age 9.

Most people don’t live in a desert because there’s insufficient food there. MOVE. Yes it can be done - if being in a “food desert”is a problem, then act like your life depends on it and get out!

Good idea. You know it is hard for large overfed rear ends to get off the couch. Plus not going out won’t cut into TV time.

Hey why not? We let them have a cash stipend that goes to lottery tickets, weed and weaves, so why not this too?

Want to be able to spot a heroin dealer? He is the really “healthy” looking guy who is buying steaks and shrimp on other peoples EBT card, traded for heroin.

We know where this is going. EBT cards to be used for online gambling and porn in 5...4...3...2....

And then the Libs will discover that Children are going hungry again.
