I was going to be present for the birth until they decided they were going to do a c-section. When they brought my daughter out the first thing out of my mother-in-law's mouth was is everything there. I'm thinking to myself what!!! But I admit I was relieved myself when informed all was there.
Then they wheeled my wife out and I went up to her to talk, and she threw a few expletive deletes at me, and I just smiled. Poor girl was ready to kill by that time. I just went home and celebrated with friends and relatives that had gathered to congratulate me. I said, heck I had the easy and enjoyable part of this joyous event.
:-). You men do get the fun part of it all, don’t you? With six kids I’ve experienced many things: natural birth, induced, c-section and VBAC. My husband, bless his heart made it for all the deliveries. The c-section was pretty hard for him. Fascinating, but hard to see his wife cut open. I’m glad they had the sheet up so that I couldn’t see anything!
Yes, we do have the easy part of the equation, thank goodness. I don't believe men could handle it to be honest. I know I am useless when I get sick. Women tend to carry on somehow. Our hardest part comes when they start hitting puberty, and boys start coming around. Grrrr.
This makes me think of two things...
First is how much those human cockroaches are leaching from the taxpayers.
Second, why the HELL havnt they been deported.
