Late last night there were all sorts of rumors flying around about Julian Assange;
Embassy stormed by the Brits.
His internet cut off by a State.
He was dead.
He was assassinated.

justlurking has been here @ FR as long as I have. He has his way of doing things and I have mine. I respect him because he adds reason to the discourse here. Plus he has a lot of good links.
The answer to that is pretty sad.
You may have seen my reference to "click-bait blog pimps".
They post an article with an inflammatory headline. It might be an out-of-context quote, a misinterpretation of the information, or an outright fabrication (fake news).
Then, they spread links to the article around to other sites like Free Republic or wait for someone else to do it.
You click on the link to read the article, and they get the revenue for delivering ad impressions to you, and even more money if you click on the ad.
Worst case: the site delivers mal-ware to your unpatched computer, and now everything you do is monitored.
Free Republic readers used to be a lot smarter than that. But now, I see all kinds of crap accepted as truth when only a small amount of further reading would discredit the claim. I cringe when I see some of the nut-job conspiracy theories that are promoted here.
A large part of it is "confirmation bias". Look that up, if you are interested.
Yup, just for people like you.
LOL, you make me look like a noob. :-)
Thanx.
Now I need to go back outside and continue painting the house.
The globalists will not be denied.
That s actually stated in some articles, i.e that he was poisoned and even assassinated. That is is WHY we need some truth to clear this up.
We should not have to just assume that all is well if there is nothing in the “news”.
you left out #34
Whoops # 37
well what would be your solution... your words of guidance to those who are not totally up to speed and do not want to be steered off course? It’s a big galaxy out there man. times in the past and its gotten worse since a 4 year leave of absence here... you post an article or link to have it discussed like we used to but its immediately pulled and some joker tells you “don’t post that crap here”... its like really?
Too bad we cant have a common ground. there are a LOT of freepers who are windbags...er I mean have a lot to say. why cant the use it constructively? its frustrating... and im sure theres a few right now who wanna tell me to go get educated some where else basically...
And you, Dear FRiend (/s) are the guy who cuts me off on I-95 and gives ME the finger. You're the distant "friend" on Facebook, who, day after day, calls me "dumb", "idiot", "conspiracy theorist", "uneducated", etc., because you think you are smarter than I. You are the creep in the grocery store who jumps ahead of the line because your time is the most valuable.
so, when we see what might appear to be a credible threat to someone who we KNOW has really pissed of the powers that be, we react. That reaction for many people is going to be a bit scattered and unfocused because there arena lot of people in this country who have only recently woken up to the fact, however dimly, that the government ofnthe united states is NOT what they were taught in school. Instead of being the representative republic they thought was guaranteed by the Constitution, it has become a murderous monster that cares nothing for decency or the rule of law if it conflicts with its exercise of raw power.
