VANITY: YUUUUUUUUGE Early Voting Line in Broward County
Self | October 24, 2016 | PJ-Comix

Posted on 10/24/2016 7:48:38 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

(Note: I posted this on another thread about early voting in Florida but I think it needs a thread of its own.)

................................

Okay, I am now back from early voting at the Broward Country Library Tamarac Branch and I have some SHOCKING news.....

First of all I did NOT vote. Actually, as you shall see, this is GOOD news. The reason why I did NOT vote is that the line was BY FAR the largest I have ever seen it for early voting at this location. It was so large that it went thru the library and snaked out almost to the back door. I estimated the wait time to be around 2 hours. Maybe longer.

I have early voted at this same location several times before and the lines were NEVER close to being this long. In off year elections, the wait time is always zero to less than 5 minutes. In presidential elections, always less than 15 to 20 minutes. I didn't feel like waiting a couple of hours on that looooooong line especially since I didn't bring my cellphone headphones to listen to internet radio while waiting.

An elections official told me there were few people in the line when it opened at 7 A.M. and for about the first half hour so tomorrow I will be there at 7 to vote.

The GOOD NEWS is that any first time voting millennial who is sort of for Hillary will be bummed out waiting for over an hour on that looooooong line. I actually didn't spot anybody on that line that would even fit into that age group. Imagine the shock of a first time voter millennial seeing that line and realizing he/she would have to invest a couple hours waiting.

Well, tomorrow I will be there right at opening time at 7 AM to vote. But just in case, I will be bringing my headphones.

Broward County is deep blue. Democraps rule there. Not sure how good of news this is. White people there tend to be limousine liberals... Trust me, I lived there for many years.

Obama isn’t on the ballot.

And neither is McCain or Romney.

We have to look at WHO is early voting, not the proportion of voting public in one county that is registered Rep. This is a very good sign for the state as a whole.

I thought your good news was going to be that everyone there was wearing red teeshirt ...LOL! But I do wonder how many in line were for the beast666...isn’t this a very liberal county? I pray they’re voting for trump but if it’s as blue as my city dump...we’re screwed! Nothing, not even Reagan got this city’s vote!! Hardcore socialists rats!!

I’ve said before, the kids and the blacks down show at rallies, but they vote.

I am praying the under 30 ####s stay home in big numbers.

Long line ( according to the guard, & lined up by 7:30)

When we arrived at 10:00 there was a continuous line of people.

The fact the Trump voters have a higher motivation should clue people in that this is a very good sign, instead of looking for the quickest route to dismissal.

You had to be HIGHLY MOTIVATED to wait on that looooooong line. I don't see first time millennial voters who are sort of/maybe for Hillary waiting on the line I saw.

I'm motivated too but without at least headphones to listen to my cellphone radio for a couple of hours to pass the time, it would drive me nuts so I will go back tomorrow at 7 AM.

I was responding to a post on the past history of voting in Broward County. Yes, I know that neither Romney nor Obama are on the ballot. That doesn’t change the fact that Broward County is a Dem stronghold. They will vote for Hillary over Trump. The big questions are turnout and how many Dems will flip for Trump.

In 2012 Broward went for Obama 508,312 to 244,101. Obama won FL by 70,000 votes.

But how large was the voter participation? 60%? Do we really think HRC voters are going to crawl over broken glass, or stay two hours in line? Not likely judging from her rallies.

Please provide a link.

Call me old fashioned, but I believe that one votes on the 2nd Tuesday in November in person. If you can’t vote that day, then request an absentee ballot. No early voting. And I’m against “motor voter registration” as well.

Indeed...I’d like to hear some early voting reports from the panhandle. That is a deep red portion of the state, where the GOP can run up big margins.
