I had a terrible time finding out how to get in touch with them. Finally found @DIRECTVService for a tweet.
This is a test run by those in power to make sure they can shut down any news that is half-way accurate on election day/night.
Scary part is - they are successful.
Watch for your internet going out as well.......

My wife and I junked our cable and satellite TV around 2 years ago. If they would let us buy only the channels we want, we might reconsider.
C-band satellite lets you buy only the channels you wanted but c-band is a long gone technology. We still have our 10ft dish in the backyard.
We now have fiber optics Internet. VERY fast and can stream almost any of the cable channels we want, free as a bird, with little or no buffering. I like watching Hannity - sometimes but refuse to pay a high fee when they have commercials that foots the bill for those networks.
Or they could be having technical difficulties. It’s an imperfect world, bolts fall out.
Seems like they are having a national problem per downdetector.com comments.

Looks like it would be better not to try a reset on receiver, you then lose all channels.

Well hopefully it’s nothing nefarious although the timing sure seems suspect.
It happened to me again this morning here in the north east. Funny thing though. I woke up at about 3AM and turned it on my bedroom TV and promptly fell back to sleep. It was on when I woke up. I went down to shower (about 6:30) and went to turn it on in the living room. Got the “Technical issue” message. Back up in my bedroom however, it was still on. Seems it’s won’t cut the ongoing feed but will prevent it from being activated.
Thursday it was switched with Fuse for 15 minutes then when folks like me figured that out after 15 minutes it went blank like this morning again. Got XM in the car though:-)
Standard Definition channels are working.
Activate in settings under display and wait.
Rush is talking about this right now!! He has the same problem.

Yup. I lost all channels. The lady said they’re working on it.
It’s 2:10pm here on the the east and still no Fox on 362. . . not that I’m missing Shep or anything good, but hey this is a scary glimpse of things to come with Crooked in the White House. BTW, you can get around it by going to Channel 342, which is the Fusion channel they were switching everyone to.
Call and tell them you’re switching to Dish Network.
See if it gets fixed any faster.
Unfortunately it’s not broken. It’s control of the media.
