Originally the upside down cross was a sign of Christianity, but it's frequently used by anti-Christian groups.
The inverted or Petrine Cross is an ancient symbol of Saint Peter, who was crucified head down by the Romans.
That having been said, I am a devout Catholic who adheres to the Traditional Latin Rite, and I have never seen a Traditional (or other) Catholic, even one with a special devotion to Saint Peter, wear an inverted cross.
Additionally, if you Google “inverted cross jewelry”, you get a lot of anti-Christian or satanic hits.I am unaware of any Clintonian devotion to Saint Peter.
I make 2 possible conclusions:
1. benign conclusion: Chelsea is clueless
2. less benign conclusion: Chelsea is anti-Christian.
