2002 Angels defeat Giants 4 games to 3 [MLB should rescind '02/'03 World Series! Unfair!]

...The Giants scored 44 runs, third-most in Series history.

And yet, it was the small-ball Anaheim Angels who won the all-California matchup in the franchise's first World Series since its founding in 1961. Not that the Angels couldn't flex their muscles, too. They had seven home runs, including three by Series MVP Troy Glaus.

Totally UNFAIR Major League baseball!

In 2002, the GIANTS scored 44 RUNS and the Angels only scored 41! A clear majority of runs was scored for the Giants, but the Angels are awarded the World Series?! That isn't fair!!

And in 2002, the disparity was even LARGER: The New York Yankees scored TWENTY ONE RUNS!! And the Florida Marlins? Only 17. But who got the trophy?! The Florida Marlins.

Seriously, folks, if Major League baseball is going to not give the prize to the team who scores the most runs, then what use is it to even have a league?

We need to march in the streets. Impede traffic, and destroy the property of others if this isn't changed.

How do we get one of those petitions started?!

1960 Yankees scored over twice as many runs as the Pirates. Pirates won 4 games to 3.

Yankees 55 runs, Pirates 27 runs. I wonder what will be the response if I point this out to people here in democratic Pittsburgh.

Excellent analogy!
Is there a site that has all the runs for world series historically?
Would make a great Meme!

Well, the Yankees were robbed even moreso in 1960. They outscored the Pirates 55-27, but lost the series 4-3. Screw Mazeroski’s dramatic home run, I say.

Speaking of home runs.....

Game 6, 7th inning, Giants ahead 5-0 and they literally were putting the champagne on ice. Then came this home run:

I had some friends at that game, they said they have never heard anything as loud as the roar of the crowd when Spezio’s hit cleared the wall. The stadium was shaking.

Longer version for Angel fans:
