The more I think about it, the more I think this a good idea. However they couch it, it will be perceived for all time that she was guilty. Just get her out of the way and be done with it.
It would completely eliminate the accusations that she was being persecuted by her political opponents and put the whole mess to rest.

If she is pardoned, then she would not be able to fall back on the 5th amendment when her co-conspirators are tried.

That would be an admission of a crime. And could Obama pardon her when she hasn’t been charged yet? I know there’s something about Nixon in there somewhere, but I’m not sure of the details.
