Firm(s)? One firm = firms? Also I read that shoes.com apparently deleted any record of the tweet that acknowledged their support of the boycott. Also - a Canadian-based company.
The Canadian ownership, a merchant bank, is interesting. Anyone who has some time might want to look into that.
We’ll see how much the retailers’ bottom line is affected by us, then. Stupid people... pissing off more than 1/2 of the purchasing population is not smart.
Okay. I didn’t click any shopping links. My tastes usually run to more masculine styles anyway.
Generally speaking, I hate shopping. And I hate shopping with the GF. I love her, but it is an excruciating experience. My favorite stores are the ones that have some form of seating scattered about.
Yeesh!
My personal taste doesn’t run to jewelry at all, being male myself. However, there are women in my life for whom I have occasion to buy gifts. I take it there aren’t any in yours?
LOL!
First, shoes.com or shoeme.ca (the Canadian home site) is a discount Canadian outfit.
How many American women have been buying Ivanka Trump shoes? What have been their sales figures for Ivanka’s line?
And to be blunt, the type of Democrat looney tunes women likely to respond to such a boycott are extremely unlike to be the target demographic for Ivank’s line or anyone elses serious fashion line that doesn’t include plaid shirts, Crocs, Doc Martens. One has only to look at the harridans, hags, and other frightful creatures that attended HRCs rallies.
Shoes.com might be surprised by the kickback from rational customers. And they deserve every counterfire hit they get.
Trudeau loving (deleted).
Yea, there is. But she’s more on the ball about that sort of stuff than I am. The on-line shopping bug as hit her in a big way. And how many pairs of earrings, dongles and bling does a woman need?
I know, I know, stupid question.
No, I’ll leave that sort of stuff to her. She doesn’t think much of my style sense anyway.
What’s a guy to do?
You make a good point - although Ivanka wore a pretty dress to the convention that cost about $150. It sold out immediately - so the buyers should be aware, to coin a phrase. Her jewelry line, which I’ve only seen in Trump Tower, is much more expensive, obviously. It looks nice. I’m more a Tiffany-window shopper myself.
Go to a decent store with a good, long-time sales person in the jewelry department, ask for help, describe her style, maybe a couple of brands or designers your GF likes. She won't lead you wrong, that's how she's done well enough to hang in there so long.
I’m in.
Here’s a link to the idiocy list
I check it out. Thanks.
DH = Dumb Husband
You hit upon what I was trying to say. Style well detailed sells.
Having once been forced to witness a Loehmann’s no-rules scrimmage, not once did I hear a woman say, “OMG, I can’t buy this because politics.”
Retailers “begin” to? I’ve have “began” to diet far more times than I have dieted.
Macy’s sells Ivanka Trump shoes and every review is 4 to 5 stars....I doubt they’ll drop her products.
One of my fave pair of shoes are adorable, tweed Ivanka Trump flats. Great idea about Christmas presents!!
Just tried contacting, to voice my outrage about this. I am number 25 in queue...LOL!! They must be getting a lot of calls!!!
I bought one of Ivanka’s dresses at TJMaxx and I love it. It’s simple and very flattering.
I always thought DH meant DARLING husband...
