I think Country’s roots probably lie with Scotch-Irish descendants in America. Supposedly there’s also a Celtic influence as well.
Definitely a whiff of that in the Americana movement. And the Chieftains have always been a step away from Nashville in the way they navigate their fiddles.

One of the unique aspects of America was the ability to move up and down the social system. We have lost that.
The Horatio Alger books after the Civil War read by many young people helped after the war. Maybe time to republish them.........................

Definitely.
The ignorant SWJs who have been indoctrinated by the public education system believe that America is just schlepping toward the inevitable European-style socialist as in some sort of governmental evolution. Simply because the U.S.A. is not as old as the “wise Europeans.”
Completely discounting the fact that the pilgrims were escaping monarchy and that Europe has never adopted our unique system.
