What about a fake pope? Hmmm. Something to ponder.

Maynard G. Krebs was a victim of ergophobia.

Ergophobia is the driving force behind the Trump protests. These people, used to living off either Mommy-Daddy or Uncle Sam, are suddenly facing the awful truth: they’re going to have to change. They’re going to have to work.

Easier said than done, since this will involve transforming a mentality and lifestyle.

You are absolutely correct. The #NeverTrump crowd is saturated in indolence.

I thought ergophobia was the paralyzing fear of the word “therefore”.

But, if they are afraid of logical thinking - but live by emotions - ergophobia egophilia. They live for the latest fleeting moment of pleasure!

Hey! I resemble that remark!!

Per the WFTD banner: “QWERTY, ergo cogito summus...”
“We type, therefore we are...”

Then there is-
“LGBTQCNXYZ, ergophobia...”
“We’re queer & all that leftist bilge, we’re entitled & have others work for us...”

The beach really isn’t all that wonderful to me at this
stage. (Hot flashes of long duration. I’m 70 and should be
over them by now!) Sand in the shoes and sticking to the
hot, sweaty body and under the swimsuit. It’s been a very
long time since I’ve enjoyed the beach. - We did walk in
our shoes on the beach one evening I forget where, just
right inside the water’s edge so the sand was totally
washed out and it was fairly dark, so the lights along the
shore were pretty; not hot weather. Seafood at a nice
place. Seashore was clean and didn’t stink. FANG can’t
wear a swimsuit now because of many surgery scars and
an inoperable hernia. I don’t wear a two-piece suit for
sure, nor even a one-piece come to think of it. I’m tired
of dieting.

One evening we ate supper at a seafood place on the beach
somewhere down in Florida. The restaurant was right at the
water’s edge and it got cloudy and the big waves were just
rolling in. It was sort of spooky.

Back in the day, we used to frequent Country Inns of the
Old South. One place we went turned out to be a recent
“Gay” establishment. We went to the dining room. I got to
looking around and the “couples” were all same-sex. We
went ahead and stayed the night to fulfill our reservation.
I was careful to clean the toilet real good; but I do
that ANYPLACE we stay overnight.

When many viewers who suffer from uggophobia first saw this woman during one of the debates, they immediately changed the channel.

(Take two.)   The person who wrote the song, "Hallelujah, I'm a Bum", must have suffered from a strong case of ergophobia.
