A notorious serial killer and sex maniac nicknamed 'The Werewolf' has been charged with 25 new murders of women, bringing his total to 47.

The Siberian beast is already serving a life sentence for 22 murders of female victims and has confessed to an additional 25 for which investigators say they now have hard evidence.
Police are still seeking to find definite proof of an additional dozen murders to which he has admitted, and a criminal investigation is ongoing.
Law enforcement sources believe it is likely his eventual total will exceed his sinister idol, the worst-ever Soviet serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, AKA the Butcher of Rostov, who was convicted of 53 murders.
The more recent Moscow maniac Alexander Pichushkin, known as the Chessboard Killer, killed 49.
Popkov has told police his murder toll is 59.
But in court in Irkutsk, when asked by judge Pavel Rukavishnikov how many women he had killed, he shrugged and replied: "I can't say exactly, I didn't keep a record."
The mass killer also told the court: "I admit my guilt in full....committing the murders, I was guided by my inner convictions."
He is expected to face trial for the latest 25 murders by summer.
Police revealed that they have found human remains of "a large number" of victims in locations where Popkov told them to look.
Some were women reported as missing but whose fate was previously unknown, reported The Siberian Times , which revealed the 25 new charges.

Myself, I’m waiting for the “intelligence dossier” that Senator McCain will bring which will no doubt, link Trump to this guy.

Unlikely. Almost all serial killers are sexual deviants. He could be a necrophiliac like Ted Bundy or he gets a sexual thrill from killing.

The sentence they gave Andrei Chikatilo in "Citizen X" is a MUCH better solution.
They could have another Henry Lee Lucas on their hands.

Where the normal practice is to pay prostitutes money for their services, this demented mind demanded a high expectation of service: rape and death. This horrific beast will pay with his life for their services. And perhaps, while waiting for sentence, he will pay with rape by the other prisoners who, also, have no regard for life.
