This morning my son and I decided to go to the DC mall today. A drive and a metro ride and we were there. We walked to the Capitol and heard Jackie Evancho practicing the National Anthem. What a voice!

We walked all the way from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial for the concert. It was amazing with multiple screens and a terrific sound system. People were packed in all the way back to the WWII Memorial.

Taps was played just as PEOTUS and VPEOTUS were laying a wreath at Arlington. The music was wonderful, especially my favorite, Lee Greenwood singing "Proud to be an American."

We walked back to the Metro through crowds of people taking pictures of the White House from the Ellipse, then walked down the middle of a careless Pennsylvania Ave.

Car-less, not careless. We could see the Capitol lit up against the night sky. God bless Donald Trump and Mike Pence.

Our office is having a Trump/Pence MAGA Inauguration party. Lunch will be catered and a MAGA cake will be served. 🇺🇸

TV in break room will have inaugural festivities playing, all day!

I will be celebrating at home with my five sons. Our homeschool will learn about inaugurations and Donald Trump in the morning. Then we will watch the inauguration and President Trump’s speech. Then we will celebrate with treats and fun! My oldest son was a baby when Obama was inaugurated. I pretty much haven’t even watched the news for eight years, so they don’t totally understand why I am so excited to see the end of BHO!
