While most celebrities are gearing up for Oscar events, Jodie Foster, Michael J. Fox and Keegan Michael Key are among those who gathered to speak Friday at a rally in support of immigrant rights.
Speaking to a crowd of about 1,200 onlookers outside of United Talent Agency headquarters in Beverly Hills, Foster said that while she has shied away from political activism in the past, "it's time to show up. It's time to engage."

Maybe she (Jodie Foster) doesn’t understand the risks entailed with unlimited immigration? Consider that anybody with a modest amount of fame or a significant amount of money lives in a “gated community”. I’m sure that Jodie Foster doesn’t really travel anywhere outside “the Bubble” but with a bodyguard/driver who is armed. She doesn’t run the same risks that we do unless she happens to fly commercial during the course of the year. Other than that, she and her friends are pretty much insulated from the direct effects of illegal immigration. It must takes EFFORT and not just intelligence to see things as they are for us “little people” in “flyover country”.
