Self serving Yes, evil no. My moral compass is the defense of individual rights...if that’s evil then I’ll jump into the hellpit myself.
You dodged the question. I wasn’t asking if Muslims are good or bad only if their belief system is true since there are hundreds of millions of them. That was your bases earlier when you said their were hundreds of millions of Christians implying that therefore Christianity must be true.
Did the angel Gabriel dictate the Quran to Mohammad or not? Inquiring minds want to know.
I am not the judge of you. I have no problem with defending individual rights, so long as those rights extend to people of faith to live their lives in accordance with their religious beliefs (excepting radical Muslims who believe that they are commanded to “kill the unbeliever.”) God will judge each of us according to the hidden intentions of our heart.

I don't see why not. "Complexity" doesn't really mean much by itself. I mean, the universe is a busy mess, but much is wasted, much is pointless, much is counter-productive, much is unusable, much is detrimental, much is repetitive, much is destructive... it all looks pretty random to me.
My home was a de facto homeless shelter for quite a while, I posted many tales of the events on the old Dimensional Door threads.
As to my putting away money during the 7 fat cow years, the seven lean cows ate all of my retirement funds, and my house ended up deeply underwater.
I recently landed a job, and when I got my first paycheck I still had a whopping $20 left.
My finances still haven’t fully recovered, but at least I’m able to buy a occasional hungry stranger a good hot meal.
Although I suppose simple one-on-one charity isn’t quite as satisfying when one isn’t doing to avoid burning the the fires of hell, or to lord over lesser beings...
I dodged the question? If you cannot discern the difference between a religion that commands death to unbelievers, and is based upon the concept of jihad, and that of Christians, who practice tolerance of all faiths (as in the great United States of America), then you are beyond hope. I ask once again, what are your qualifications to pontificate concerning Islam vs. Christianity? I have seen first-hand the difference. How about you?
Oh my friend! May God help and bless you! We have much in common! All I would add is that my religion is not based upon fear of a vengeful God, but upon love of self-same God who has seen us through unimaginable difficulties. My faith is based upon grateful love, not fear at all.
Fair enough. Thank you.
[[Yes, all sin is extremely serious, and have far-ranging consequences. But are they eternal?]]
i think the point is that even in hell the sinner will still reject God- and will do so even more intensely because now the restrainer is nowhere to be seen and the person’s true character, unrestrained, will come out-
[[ If someone has rejected God in their heart of hearts, the vast universe of time will not change that decision.]]
That goes to what i said above- only now, in hell, without the Restrainer having an influence for at the very least ‘some good’ upon the unrepentent sinner, the sinner will be viciously opposed to God
These are matters beyond our understanding, but yes, if someone is utterly opposed to God, then that fundamental decision will not change throughout eternity.
Had a medical procedure a few weeks ago - anesthesiologist said “have a nice nap” and all went blank. I woke up a few hours later - if that’s as bad as it gets, what’s to be afraid of......
You do not really appreciate it until you have watched the paramedics working on your body from somewhere near the ceiling!
