Compared to many (perhaps most) visitors and contributors to this site, my own awakening to the dangers of Islam came late — around 2010. Despite the mountain of evidence — and bodies — piling up, I did not see the problem. The steady drumbeat of political correctness that was the soundtrack to my life from university onwards had all but closed my mind to anything outside the narrow confines of The Narrative. I have to thank the cartoonists at Jyllands-Posten, the heroic Lars Vilks and the late Christopher Hitchens for throwing a bucket of ice-cold water in my face.
But ultimately it was the jihadists and their murderous rampage who reminded me what is worth fighting — even dying — to preserve..........
Some 18 months later, we are in a different place. The spell has been irrevocably broken and the country is returning very slowly — one Swede at a time — to its senses.
It’s impossible to pinpoint the exact turning point, but for male friends and colleagues I spoke to at the time, it was clear that the mass sexual predations that took place in Cologne on New Year’s Eve 2015 had a sobering effect. They are almost all husbands and fathers, with many having at least one daughter. Discussions that were unthinkable just a few weeks earlier were held openly, albeit in private settings and not in public spaces. Broaching the subject with Swedish women was a different story. Whenever I pointed out that maybe, just maybe welcoming tens of thousands of young men from misogynistic cultures would put many Swedish women in harm’s way, I was met with an avalanche of denial and the usual false equivalencies. But this is changing too.

Anyway, I don't see the liberal Swedes coming around in time to save themselves from what they've brought to their country. It's kinda funny in a ironic sense. Here's a nation that prides themselves as being pacifists who have brought some of the worlds worst murderers and rapists to live next door to them. If someone wrote something that crazy in a fiction novel know one would believe it because it's so stupid.
That's Sweden. I guess soon enough they'll change the name to Swedestan.
FWIW, I own several Swedish firearms, bought from their original owners who faced the choice of forced sale or confiscation under their latest laws. Heaven forbid a Swede should shoot a Muslim in self defense.

Liberals are fond of telling us how "enlightened" these modern Scandinavians are ... people who are stunningly blind to the own pending demise. The women there seem to be in a special state of denial, though they and their children will in time be raped. Stockholm Symdrome indeed.

My concern is that they have created a monster that is way out of control. In this sense, they now find themselves at such a hard corner they cannot negotiate the turn.

When has Sweden ever stood up against evil? They bent their knees to Nazi Germany. They continued eugenics until the late 1970s. They happily embraced Socialism and atheism. Now, they are flooded with the swamp of Islam.
Sweden is doomed.

Too little, too late.
It’s ironic because Sweden was considered one of the most feminist/liberal countries in the world. It has been for decades. It’s like they are ahead 30 points in the game and then squander it.
They go from “Be free” to “Don’t go here and if you do get raped, you were asking for it”. They went from “These immigrants are intelligent and yearning to be free from oppression” to “They are backwards people who aren’t responsible for their behavior”.
The damage is permanent. They will beat you with the uterus. They use it as a weapon. You will be usurped. That was the plan.
Feminism need to be blamed loudly and often. Sweden wants to make anti feminism illegal, if they do they are doomed.
