Kratom isn’t on the DEA class 1 list yet.
They were going to put it on it, but people were like....wtf are you stupid?
So they haven’t yet.
The only thing that has worked for my chronic hand pain is vicodin. My rheumatologist can prescribe only one prescription. I need to go to a pain management clinic if I am to get more and apparently they will do anything but prescribe.
Integrity is not a fungible commodity.
I sympathize, because my wife has had chronic back pain for a number of years, and has been doing the pain-center thing for the last few. They will prescribe effective pain medication, but seldom enough, so that she is usually in severe pain for several days before each visit. They will never allow an increase in the prescription.
Damn all of the a-holes who, by misusing drugs, cause my wife to suffer unnecessary pain.

I’m with you. The “facts” about the so-called epidemic just don’t seem to add up to a coherent narrative.
More likely IMHO, what we’re seeing here is yet another over-hyped meme that gets clicks, reads and advertising dollars for the media, plus votes for “populist” politicos.
Yes, the DEA tried and there was such a protest from the kratom community that for the first time in history, the DEA backed off.
The battle isn’t over yet and we won’t go away.
I’m happy to know that someone else knows what kratom is.
I have the same “allergy/reaction/ whatever” (the medicos can’t decide on what to call it). BUT, they just give me shot of some anti-nausea stuff and all is good. I’ve told numerous docs and nurses “I need a shot of that anti-nausea stuff before morphine” and every one, so far, have known exactly what I need. Shouldn’t be a problem. (I think it’s Compazine or Promethazine)
The only reason it is on the DEA’s radar is because head shops and stores around the country started selling it and claiming it will get you high.
I started taking it a few months ago and read some stuff that made me laugh. That it causes hallucinations and an opiate like high. LOL!
Toridol does the best for me.
I have seen so many get off opiates and the crap the doctors give you to get you off the drugs they gave you in the first place. I know someone that got off heroin and methadone with kratom. I took a 3 day break from it and had no withdrawal. My pain did return though. It was gone in 20 minutes after I took 1 1/2 teaspoons this morning.
I cross checked it, only reason I used the original and it did have more info than the other sources.
This is 1 subject I have a ton of experience with, as a Intractable Pain Patient. We’ve been compiling the info to counter the FAKE news.
This also goes with the OPEN BORDERS as the mules bring it in from Mexico, China, and other Poppy producing places that way, even via US Mail from China.
But it is truly impacting those who really need pain medication as there are NO cures for the diseases they have, and no research as they are rare or small pools.

We are compiling all these articles to fight for our need for pain meds as the diseases many have are not curable and are very painful and force many to go on disability and become bed ridden. Pain 24/7/365 wears on you when it is a level 10, bring it down to a 4 and you can function to the best of your ability.
Doesn’t work on me either, just massive head rush and headache. Dilauded works best IV. Only 2 things drive me to the ER A-Fib and when pain has me puking my guts up and I can’t get it to stop and it pushes my BP up to high.
Don’t know where they get a high off the stuff, never had that happen or Script narcotics, had some bad reactions though.
I have been on suboxone for about 4 years.
I want off of it. The last time I went off it for about 3 months and I couldn’t handle the anxiety so I went back on it. Kratom might be the way to go for me. But I can’t really afford it right now. If the IRS would ever give me my tax returns.
