One America News Network pulls lucrative job offer to Bill O'Reilly
Washington Examiner ^ | June 20, 2017 | Mandy Mayfield

Robert Herring, CEO of the One America News Network, announced Tuesday that his network was pulling a lucrative job offer made to former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly.

"We are pulling offer to @billoreilly, it could have paid him more than he made at Fox. We wish him luck. #OANN" the OANN CEO tweeted.

Herring confirmed the offer to Mediaite and told them he "wanted to move on" after O'Reilly and his agent failed to contact the network following discussions O'Reilly and OANN regarding his joining the network, according to a report.

Herring said the offer would "have been very good," possibly more than the roughly $25 million he was reportedly contracted for with Fox News.

"...The Daily Ledger..."

That show is superb. OANN is a terrific channel.

I enjoy OAN, and I would have enjoyed BOR joining the network.

O’Reilly is starting his own on-line network; I believe the reason he didn’t want to go with OANN is because he has hinted that after starting his own half hour show, that he will at a later point be hooking up with a much larger entity that his show will be part of.

I think he’s planning on hooking up with Sinclair media (the 2 conservative Smith brothers) who along with other investors (BOR may be one of them) are highly rumored to be starting their own conservative TV network. There is something going on in the background we are not privy to; I smell it. Mark my words.

Classless of O’Reilly not to respond with a “thanks but no thanks” reply.

I think the key was “could”. Probably had a low guaranteed amount with some type of bonus based on an impossibly huge number of viewers that probably wouldn’t happen.

Don’t think O’Reilly is motivated by money. Wants control and independence.

We will see how that works out. He gave up a golden opportunity to 'bloviate' on someone elses dime, now he has to spend his own wealth to do it, so...stay tuned!

Correct on OANN. I’m now watching it most of the time. “Direct TV Now” just picked it up with TCM. What people are not realizing, there is no NEWS on the mainstream...it’s all politics. One hour with OANN and you discover there is a whole world of news out there you’ve been missing. If you are a political junkie, stick with Fox/CNN. If you are getting bored hearing about Russian collusion, dial in OANN...very refreshing and frankly, intellectually stimulating.

this is the live stream.

Oreily
and
Steyn on OAN would be a powerful combination.

The Daily Ledger would give o’reilly a real run for this money, He is that good.

The Tipping point is good too.

The man does draw an audience, and OANN could use more viewers.

just checked if anything was new there but a reply at an interview posted a month ago stated that they probably have a non-compete clause in their contract and so go private. That’s probably why m kelly had to wait to get onto (and crash and burn) at her newest gig.

OANN probably didn’t have enough money to buy out fox and oreilly couldn’t fork it over either.

According to reports I’ve read, he had only a 6-month non-compete. Since he left in late April, that would take him to late October.

The latest is that he’s supposedly negotiating with Sinclair Broadcasting (the ones who do Sharyl Atkisson’s show and who own Circa News) and with Newsmax.

Sinclair has always made Fox look like an organ of the left.

O’Reilly may have had a non-compete clause in his contract with FNC.
