He couldn’t have opened that door anyway; they open inward an the cabin pressure would have kept it sealed tight against the frame. Then too, the door would have been disarmed (emergency slide activation) before anyway.

I have a hard time believing out of 207 passengers no one took a video of this.

Or he suffered from the delusion that he’s John F. Kerry.

This is an image of some of the damage he caused on that plane:

"The battle in the galley near the cockpit of Delta Flight 129, which was headed to Beijing with 210 passengers and 11 crew aboard, began as the airliner cruised near Canada's western coast about an hour into the flight.

According to a criminal complaint released Friday, Hudek -- who was traveling in first class on a dependent travel pass, a perk afforded to family members employed by the airline -- attempted to open the forward exit door on the right side of the airliner.

Two flight attendants tried to subdue Hudek but were pushed away, and he continued his attempt to open the door. According to the complaint, Hudek was able to move the door handle mechanism and push the emergency release lever halfway.

Aircraft cabin doors cannot be opened at high altitudes because of the differing pressures inside and outside the jet's cabin, and the Delta plane was cruising at high altitude, at 32,000 feet, when the incident happened. However, at a lower altitude, according to the complaint, it was possible the door might open." (KMOV.com)

It’s the thought that counts.

Or that it’s not on twitter already with a CNN logo in place of his head.

Just checked Facebook. A Linda Hine Hudek from Tampa is a Delta customer service employee. I’m guessing she is Jojo’s mom.

The longer in prison the less likely he’ll reproduce-unless he’s somebody’s bi-ch.

Other reports describe several passengers subduing him until the plane landed. Thank goodness on American flights there are passengers who will respond to any emergency.

[attempted to open the forward exit door on the right side of the airliner]

He just wanted a little fresh 10% air and to feel the 600mph wind in his face.

Right age to be III’s wife - looks like she might be a year older than III, so the right age to be IV’s mother.

Doesn’t seem like a desk agent would warrant a ‘don’t you know who I am’ from her son. I was expecting someone with more clout with a front row seat in First Class on a China flight.

The solution is to give him his wish, an exit at 18K feet...

Yes, I think she is his mom. She started working for Delta in 1998 according to her FB page. Dumb kid just got his mama in big trouble.

After the fateful Flight 93 — “Let’s roll!” — the greatest security system on any flight is now the passengers themselves.

Never again will passengers passively submit to a troublemaker’s demands. Not with the risk of complete destruction now facing them.

From now on, whenever a drunk, hooligan, terrorist or garden-variety nutjob tries to disrupt a flight, there will be a militia response from the rest of the passengers. If the airlines want to help, please make sure there is a roll of duct tape on board. The passengers will take it from there.
