Those looking for alternative ways to protect their eyes from Monday’s solar eclipse are now seeking medical treatment after putting sunblock on their eyeballs.
Nurse practitioner Trish Patterson tells KRCR-TV in Redding, California that she hasn’t seen any cases of damage by looking directly at the sun but she and her colleagues have seen a few patients who experienced pain after putting sunblock in their eyes.

That’s crazy of them.
Everybody knows you were supposed to cut up your solar glasses to make contact lenses.

No injury in the USA is complete without a lawsuit. Are they going to sue the manufacturer of the sunscreen for not putting a warning label on it: “Warning, do not use to block sun during eclipse. Although it is called ‘sun blocker’, it is used to block sun on your skin, idiot, and not on your eyes, dummy! What kind of stupid are you to put this on your eyes? Do you expect us to protect you against your own idiocy?”
