Trump lauds ‘great anger’ after some booed Dallas Cowboys for taking a knee
washington post ^ | September 26, 2017 | John Wagner

President Trump resumed his sparring with the NFL early Tuesday, asserting there was the loudest booing he “had ever heard” when the entire Dallas Cowboys team dropped to its knees ahead of the national anthem at a game Monday night near Phoenix.

“Great anger,” the president said as part of his latest series of tweets on a national controversy over views on protest and patriotism that has raged since Trump's first blast late last week.

Ratings for NFL football are way down except before game starts, when people tune in to see whether or not our country will be disrespected!

Thanks to Trump, I am learning a lot about the NFL, in particular its ownership and Roger Goodell.

Being crony-capitalists and government-favored monopolists at the top of the American cultural-media food chain means they have absorbed the political and cultural attitudes of our statist, leftist elites and in particular, the media-entertainment complex.

Mr. President, I salute you!

Gotta give the Cowboys SOME credit, they did not kneel during the Anthem. They did not salute it as they were supposed to either.

The fallout will also hit other, less conspicuous outfits like those who produce so-called ‘football food’ (chicken wings, pizza, pop/beer) and sports bars.

The question is how much endurance will the angst have? A couple of years? Half a season? Until next week?

Maybe Tony Romo was lucky to get out while the getting was good.

I am enjoying having a REAL AMERICAN back in the WH. Does ANYONE think that Obama ever cared about any sports? Like everything else, the WH invites for the players were just ‘normalizing’ photo ops. I remember an interview after he threw out the first ball at a Nationals baseball game. The sports guy asked him, since he was from the ‘southside’ of Chicago, who was his favorite White Sox player. He couldn’t name one. He said something like, ‘well, there are two teams in Chicago’. So he was asked who his favorite Cub was. Couldn’t name one. Then he pointed out that he actually grew up in Hawaii and the Oakland A’s were really the closest baseball team during his younger years. Again, he was asked who his favorite A’s player was.......that’s right, he couldn’t name one. I suspect the closest ‘relationship’ he ever had with sports was his ‘relationship’ with Reggie Love. Though bombastic at times, at least Trump does know his sports.

Thought I read he had plans to go there. He has already sent disaster relief. There just might not be a good place to land, stay or meet at the present.

I suspect he learned how to walk and chew gum at the same time quite a number of years ago, so no need for concern, he'll be OK.

Trump is right to continue the attack now.

PR is its own territory and can (not) handle itself.

Sure they could, but what if there is no place to go. I am speculating, but there was so much damage. He may be waiting until they recover some.

Then why did he go to Houston and Florida so quickly?
Whoever is counseling him to delay making a personal visit or even an overflight of PR and the USVI is a bad advisor
Hes made his point about the NFL
Ready for a new newsleader
