How loud did the fans in the stadium sing the National Anthem?
Not surprised. The NFL was warned last year to cap this crap when the reprehensible Kaepernick started it, and they didn’t listen. They could and should have enforced the existing rules pertaining to the Anthem. Yes, there would’ve been some measure of bitching and squawking from the left, but by now, it would’ve been a piece of the past. Now, it’s spun wayyy out of the NFL’s control. The bridge has been crossed and there’s no going back.
Drudge is making it look like fans went along and locked arms. Does anyone know what actually happened? Did Green Bay fail us?
This article if accurate is helpful:
“On Tuesday, Packers players asked fans to join them in linking arms during the anthem to come together and show people we can be connected, and we can grow together. On CBS broadcast, they showed some fans who did and some who didnt, although it looked like most didnt.”
The fans stuck by these players in spite of the fact that way too many of them committed felons. It is documented for anyone who wants to research it. However, they have crossed the line with the hate they have expressed against our nation and our way of life which not only gave them opportunities and riches beyond imagination, but, tolerated things in their character and behavior which was repulsive to say the least and would not have been dealt with as kindly, had they not had their extraordinary athletic skill. We are done.
Thank God you’re were here to watch this tasteless spectacle and report on it so the rest of us didn’t have to.
(I couldn’t anyway since I haven’t had TV for years.)
Is Favre still breathing?
You couldn’t tell as on the show I was watching the network didn’t show the anthem being played.
Standing and locking arms during the anthem is as disgraceful as kneeling.
come together and show people we can be connected, and we can grow together.
Seems they’d like nothing better than to change the narrative and have a kumbaya moment.
That can’t happen. If it does, there WILL be a next time .. no stopping them then.
We may look back on this whole kneeling thing as a turning point in the counter-counter-cultural revolution.
Some black punk yesterday took a kneel at the Unknown Soldier ceremony at Arlington. As I said, the genie is out of the bottle.
“tolerated things in their character and behavior which was repulsive to say the least and would not have been dealt with as kindly, had they not had their extraordinary athletic skill”
It likely started early in their football playing days. No wonder they’re befuddled now.
Nothing has changed within them, nothing has changed within the hierarchy, who would continue spoiling them if that’s what it takes.
It’s the fans who are putting an end to it.
“Some black punk yesterday took a kneel at the Unknown Soldier ceremony at Arlington”
Then he went there specifically to start trouble.
Did the crowd and soldiers tolerate that?
.
No way. Drudge has gone over to the dark side. I watched the Flag/Anthem gig, not the game, and I can tell you only about 5% of the fans locked arms. The rest covered their hearts with their right hands stood up and sang with the Nation Anthem.
Packer deadbeat Q/B, Aaron Rogers looked none too happy that the fans rejected his plea to lock arms. The fans, throughout the entire game kept calling out, USA, USA, USA, over and over again!!!
This report is from me watching the Star Spangled Banner, watching CNN in the early morning and then confirming what happened on Fox and Friends. Like I said, Trump wins big again!! NFL loses...across the board.
It's the owners that can change it. Now, their money is invested in protecting the high-salary investments they made, so they pandered to these irrational and unpatriotic actions. When franchises start bleeding money, the owners will finally do something, assuming this mess can be turned around.
We may look back on this whole kneeling thing as a turning point in the counter-counter-cultural revolution.
I think the election of President Trump will be noted as the beginning of the “counter-counter cultural revolution”
This is just one skirmish in the battle for America. The left will not give in easily but President Trump has shown us what the early child’s nursery rhyme taught us is true...
Sticks and stones may break my bones
but words will never hurt me
America is breaking itself free from political correctness.
The left used words (racist, homophobia, sexist and so on) to control us. President Trump was demonized by the left yet he stood tall and continued in his mission TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.
don’t be fooled.. the initial reaction by the NFL was to disrespect the flag and the country at the behest of America haters. They acted with disregard towards the things the fans hold most dear and justified it as “unity”. That was their first instinct. Liken it to someone that drinks and tells you the truth and then pretends it didn’t happen the next day..
Don’t believe their promises.. take your Sunday back..
The video at your link seems sympathetic to the protest, but the crowd shots are interesting. Note: I have listed below every crowd shot in which I could distinguish whether fans were supporting America or #BlackThugsMatter.
0:30-0:34 Crowd, about 50 people, zero with arms linked, all standing with hats off, most with right hand over heart
0:53-0:54 Crowd, 5 people with arms linked in the front row, about 10 with hand over heart behind and next to the disrespectful traitors
1:04-1:08 Crowd, 6 people with hand over heart or salute
1:17-1:21 Crowd, 6 people with hand over heart
1:51-1:55 Crowd, 9 people with hand over heart
The announcer seems to be saying the show of “unity” was a success. I would agree. Only five disgusting thugs who actually linked arms made it on camera, while a large number of decent fans clearly showed proper respect for the greatest country in the history of the world. If I were the NFL, I would be worried.
