Thank you for posting this.
Can’t completely relate, but my time is coming up. Our oldest turned 14 yesterday and since becoming a 9th grader... we see a lot less of him already. We’re proud of what he is accomplishing and the activities he’s a part of, but my wife and I already feel it coming. We know growing up and out is part of life, know he’s on the right track, know we’re doing best we can with him, but our time with him is growing short.
It’s all good things, but it still stings.
” I stood at the door and listened to her cry for me — sure that my heart was going to break. Eventually, she would stop crying. I would peak into the room and see her playing with the other children, and off I would go. Still, my mind remained focused on her crying — even though she had moved on and was having fun.” As a woman who volunteers in nursery...your kid may stop crying but they desperately miss their mom. Don’t put them in daycare
:-)
If it works for you, its GOTTA work for me!
