This article says that your brain keeps functioning after the body dies.
It sounds very strange.
sounds creepy
As always with these things, it’s not describing death but immediately prior to it.
The heart stops, no more blood pumping, but the blood in the brain still powers neural activity for 20 seconds before death.
It’s like the guillotine. I have heard that the head us “alive” for a bit, e.g. eyes can see, ears can hear until all the oxygen in the blood runs out.
I’ll be thinking “He’s still holding MY beer”.
I’m sure the brain and the rest of the body still functions to some degree. The question in my opinion is whether the person, who is a soul, is still inhabiting the body. No one understands what life is. All we know how to do is give name to things, draw pictures, and describe our observations. We do not understand life or consciousness, nor energy.
Newsweek has lost all credibility.
They posted this crap yesterday. http://www.newsweek.com/hacked-butt-plug-controlled-anywhere-lovense-sex-toy-687719
Well, some deadheads do continue voting for years.
Ordinarily physicians don’t have much confidence in near death experiences - except when they can use them to deal with macabre notions like you remain alive after you die, I guess.....
Well, if this is true I’ll be able to sing the following in my mind, as Jesus reaches his hand to me and takes my hand as we depart this vale of tears to enter the joy of His eternal presence.
AMEN!!!
MY SAVIOUR FIRST OF ALL
When my life work is ended, and I cross the swelling tide,
When the bright and glorious morning I shall see;
I shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other side,
And His smile will be the first to welcome me.
Refrain
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
And redeemed by His side I shall stand,
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
By the print of the nails in His hand.
Oh, the soul thrilling rapture when I view His blessèd face,
And the luster of His kindly beaming eye;
How my full heart will praise Him for the mercy, love and grace,
That prepare for me a mansion in the sky.
Refrain
Oh, the dear ones in glory, how they beckon me to come,
And our parting at the river I recall;
To the sweet vales of Eden they will sing my welcome home;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.
Refrain
Through the gates to the city in a robe of spotless white,
He will lead me where no tears will ever fall;
In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.
Ah yes, the ole soul, when does the exact kicking the bucket or giving up the ghost occur?
“I wonder if I left the oven on?”
>>>Ill be thinking Hes still holding MY beer.<<<
Now I understand your satirical posts on the King James Version Bible thread a few months back.
So Hillary can tell lies for an extra 20 seconds
Yet science claims Fetuses can’t feel pain!!
Sonny and Cher syndrome.. and the beat goes on..
Try a lead injection behind the ear.. applied at a high velocity..
or listen to barry manilow’s Mandy played backwards at low speed..
hopefully you be astroplaning before the second refrain and el finito sets in.
I...don’t...know...why...I...clicked...link...
Well.....the brain and other body functions ‘drain out’ but the individual isn’t there. They have as it’s said..”passed on’...’no longer there’ present in the body regardless how long it takes to ‘drain out’.
Have gone through they death process enough to recognize this. They simply are not there.
......”The question in my opinion is whether the person, who is a soul, is still inhabiting the body”....
That is the distinction....they’re not there regardless what the body does after they have left it. They’re gone..period.
