It’s kind of funny in a way. Here in the US we really stretch to find some (any) Indian ancestry and if we find it, we point to it with pride (Elizabeth Warren?) But in my experience most Latinos act as if there isn’t a drop of Indian blood in their families. Indio is not someone you want to be in Mexico. (The exception might be the Aztec revivalists).
On a tour in Costa Rica, the guide pointed out a group of Ticos. “What do you notice about Costa Ricans?”, he said, “We’re white”.

Childish but we have become thin skinned ninnies. When we were kids all sorts of things get said and made fun of. The best revenge for Yu Darvish is to go out next game and pitch his brains out on the mound for a win.
I am sick of watching teams comprised of non-Americans. The Phillies are the worst with this. I want to see English speaking AMERICANS play ball! I don’t mind a role player or two, but it is out of hand with foreigners. Sick of sports becoming affirmative action programs.
