They hurt so bad that I could not drive the ten hours home to Arizona so I took a plane instead. I had a friend drive my car back to my home in Tempe.
The plane ride turned out to be even worse than the road trip would have been. It was a smaller commuter aircraft. Prop job. We hit thunderstorms and the plane was bouncing all over the place. I spent most of the trip in the john throwing up from being in so much pain.
I remember vividly it taking 2-3 months before I could resume regular physical activity. And I was a young college athlete.
So I can feel for Sen. Paul. With five broken ribs, he must be in excruciating pain at his age. This could have been a deadly assault.
The guy who deliberately did this needs to do some jail time. Letting him off with a slap on the wrist will only embolden more deranged Lefties to attack conservatives.

First, do no harm. So says the Hippocratic oath, taken by all medical students. So we have a D.O . tackling an MD. from behind and deliberately injuring him. Boucher should be jailed, sued, and his medical license suspended.
It's French (Canadian) pretty common up here. So is the last name "Boucher" (pronounced boo-shay')
The Feds need to step in here and cool him off in a Federal prison for 20 years.
I broke the same 2 ribs Twice, first time snow skiing in about 1980, second time on my Dirt Bike about 10 years ago. He is Not a happy camper. Just Sneezing will drop you to the Ground in excruciating pain, you won’t get up for a few minutes either, I know I did it in a parking lot after dinner. 5 Minutes on the ground.
The asshole that did this deserves more than a slap on the hand.

Golly, I wonder if committing a serious federal felony assault against a US senator will finally inspire Jeff Sessions to actually *prosecute* a criminal Democrat.
Or will Sessions recuse himself, because he is nominally a Republican, so thinks it is a conflict of interest.
