Are you sure there is enough coffee in the pot to fill #5? I’m late but took 13 seconds to see the obvious and attempted to visualize how much coffee the pot held. I just knew this had to be a trick question.

Yes it is. It seems pretty simple that the coffee will spill over into the lowest outlet at each level, but somehow this trips people up.
And yes, they are the same people voting for our politicians and hence our governments.
