Every one of them I ever met started with alcohol. Same as the one’s you met.
So if I walk down the street smoking a cigarette the bodies stack up like cord wood from second hand smoke but smoking weed has no effect on my lungs/arteries/cancer. CMON!

I’ve known hard core alcoholics who curse cannabis users almost on a minute by minute basis as they justified their self-abusive behavior.
I’ve known many cannabis users over the years and some do not drink alcohol at all. As a medical marijuana patient here in Florida, I can assure you I do not drink alcohol & have no plans to start.
With years of previous experience with BOTH, I can tell you that WITHOUT QUESTION, Alcohol is FAR worse. I would guess by at least a factor of TEN!
Not promoting pot, but alcohol should be the priority not weed.

I worked for a guy doing special effects designs for Wheel Of Fortune slot machine. Worth $$$ millions. Spent his time in the loft above the shop smokin dope. Destroyed the business, spent all his wife’s money. Screwed me on a deal in Portugal worth more $ millions.

FWIW, it’s not a laughing matter around here. For a variety of reasons, everything from economics to public safety.
I’m told on these threads that it is big alcohol against legalized weed but Corona’s company is already working on a drinkable stoner beverage for markets where it is legal.

Marijuana is not addictive. Habit-forming? Yes, but not addictive.
A marijuana smoker does not exhibit physiological withdrawal symptoms with the cessation of use in the same way as does someone addicted to alcohol or opiates.
Also, marijuana, opium, cocaine...
Alcohol is as bad or worse than heroin.
Over 50% of accidents now involve “distracted driving” or texting while driving. More people die from texting and driving than either alcohol or pot!
90% of pot users use cellphones; cellphones lead to drug abuse!
80% of all internet traffic is porn; 40% of internet use is cellphones: cellphones lead to porn addiction!
87% of teens admit to sexting; when minors sext, cellphones are used for child porn!
It’s time for a cellphone ban.
Time to declare the WAR AGAINST CELLPHONES.
