Maybe she wouldn’t have gotten the flu if she stayed home, too.
I’m glad you recovered.
If she was diagnosed with the flu at an outpatient clinic, did they use the RIDT (rapid influenza diagnostic test)? They used Tamiflu, and it apparently did not work. Was this instead a virulent bacteria or other microbe that was missed?
But the globalist media is intent on making the flu the culprit before all the facts are in, so get your flu shot because it’s about 10% effective and people are losing faith in big pharma and their vaccine business. So very typical.
Makes a person wonder, doesn't it?

Thats correct
Those with the strongest immune systems are ironically most at risk

The virus used to develop the vaccine mutated during the process. Reports out of Australia are the vaccine is only 10% effective, and it is going to be a nasty strain.
When they aren’t spouting flat earth excrement.
When it hit the lungs causing pneumonia there must have been some bad bacteria. The heavy duty antibiotics did allow me to make it. I know the flu was a virus but somehow the antibiotics hit the bugs in the lungs I guess.
Years ago, my favorite doctor explained what was recurring with me: first I would get a virus, which would weaken the immune system, making it vulnerable to a secondary bacterial infection, which would develop. So in effect, some people have both at the same time, and need those strong anti-biotics.
I agree. I try to avoid antibiotics for low grade stuff. But man do they save lives when needed.
Yeah, a little cod liver oil can make a big difference at this time of year. Less sunshine = less vitamin D.
Name ‘em, ping ‘em.
“According to a report in The New England Journal of Medicine, this years flu vaccine may only be about 10% effective against influenza A (H3N2).”
This year my daughter (mid-20s) got a flu shot and I (late 60s) did not. We both got the flu about a week apart, same symptoms/severity/duration.
Hantavirus??? Exhibits Flu like symptoms with fluid also in lungs.
THAT is terrifying - hantavirus!
Never knew how bad rodent feces could be - until watching a real “survive” story - man died after cleaning out basement.
I am paranoid to death now.
“exactly why she should have been x-rayed ...”
X-rays do not cure pneumonia. Most likely the influenza infection triggered her immune system into overdrive, her lungs filled with fluid (which IS pneumonia), and she died. This was the cause of death from the mutated virus of the 1918 Influenza Pandemic that killed an estimated 25 million people worldwide.
Wow, two months? Even for the elderly, that’s a long time. Hopeful for a full recovery as soon as possible.
