The first that comes to mind for me: "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial". Sappy and overly sentimental.
(And while I'm at it, "Titanic")

Titanic also. Did not hate it but it was a while before I even saw it for the first time. Could not figure out what all the hype was about. I mean it sinks, right we all know the outcome. They just did not make it interesting enough.

American Beauty. Leftists could not sing it's praises enough! I found every character despicable, not a one of them I cared about. By the way if you want to see a GREAT movie go see
“A Face in the Crowd”. You'll swear it's based on Bill Clinton , except it was made in 1957!
