“It seems that all the socialists desperately want more govt control over everything. What a surprise!”

Notice that the socialists who complain the most are the ones who could afford to pay for it? I don’t think people understand that with Net Neutrality, there will be fewer innovations since businesses will have no reason to invest money in R&D. Competition breeds innovation.

And, he added, “once net neutrality’s gone, we might not even have WebMD anymore.”

...

That’s because we didn’t have WebMD before NN.

Yesterday Trump literally saved the Internet and freedom. We dodged a bullet with Hillary. Obama had set up Net Neutrality for Hillary to hit out of the park and take over the Internet.

1. The Internet grew very well for 20 years without Obama’s and soros’ “net neutrality”
2. Pai the FCC commissioner said in a video while being grilled by liberal rags like politico that a lot of small isps have not been able to expand their network because Obama passed this net neutrality bit of communism in 2015.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrJe6fk_h94
3. Net Neutrality was just one move in a sequence of events to completely take over the internet. A sequence that happened so slowly none of you noticed it happening at all: This lays it all out :

4.Soros funded and is behind this “net neutrality”

Dear FCC,
Why do all these people get to politic/campaign against the President on the free,over-the air TV airwaves? They are supposed to be for everyone!

Do something! This isn’t a one-party country like Russia!

The Argument before 2015 is that Comcast and AT&T blocked content and slowed down access to certain sites. This was re-mediated by lawsuit. No government intervention was necessary. Also, the amount of choices the consumer has from broadband to cellular now is greater where consumers can take their money elsewhere. Treating the Internet like a utility is absurd.

“God, I miss Johnny Carson.”

Yes! And truly funny comedy, with just a bit of innuendo, like Red Skelton and Jonathan Winters.

‘Progressives’ are anything but; they’re just a bunch of spoiled, ignorant, foul-mouthed brats.

I’ve been having this argument with a friend for a while now. Here’s the question that always stumps them: “The internet was fine from 1995-2015 with NO net neutrality. Lots of competition, lots of innovation. What exactly is net neutrality fixing?”

Okay, so the Internet’s been publicly available since Compuserve opened it up in 1989 — 28 years. And the cancellation of a two-year old regulatory overreach is going to destroy it for good.

I think I get it now...

If you treat the internet like a utility, you get a monopoly (like electric and water), in every major market, and NO price competition. You become totally dependent on a utility commission to make sure you only get screwed over a little bit every year.

Excellent question. I think a lot of people don’t even know why they’re angry.

Not surprised that Soros is behind this. So glad that Trump put a stop to this.

My liberals friends actually have an answer. They make up bad things that have never happened. Net neutrality will prevent these imagined catastrophes. But then, inventing regulations to prevent imagined catastrophes is kind of a liberal hobby.
