And this is why I shoot factory ammo in competition ... and I don’t play games with minimal “just make the power-factor” loads, either. (I also don’t shoot “.38 Stupid”.)

LOL...agreed. You, me and many others.
But there sure are a bunch of folks that do in that sport.
Personally, I just never cared to mess with that round when .45s are so easy to work with. Each his own, I guess.

"Never" is a very long time, and nobody is perfect. Play the odds.

I have encountered exactly one "bad" factory round: a Norinco 9mm that blew a primer and jammed the firing pin on my Hi-Power. That whole lot of ammo was showing signs of excess pressure. I don't count problems with cartridges that are extremely old or have been mishandled against the factory.
