Hey Watchman, you should not admit you live here in California. Many here treat us like lepers, and openly admit they hate all Californians and call for our state to slide into the ocean, secede, or relinquish the state to Mexico.

Some are so fracking dense, they don’t realize the founder/owner of Free Republic lives here.

I cringe every time I see someone bashing California on this forum. My daughter and her family live there so that they can fulfill the necessary military duties required to protect our country. Shallow minds buy into idea that everyone there is a liberal. Not so! That said, I think I’ll smack the next person who tells me they wish California would just slide off into the ocean.

Apparently not. My best friend and lifelong childhood buddy of over 70 years lives there as do numerous relatives...San Diego, West Covina, Fresno, Sausalito etc. I probably should caveat generalizations about people as to whom specically I am referring. You have permission to speak derogatorily of illannoy and it’s people..of which I am one... and I will understand your point without caveats.

“The main “natural disaster” is all the LIBs.”

This native son wonders about the long term impact of Reagan’s 1986 amnesty on my home state?

California truly has been blessed with magnifcent natural treasures and the wines and vegetables are among the world’s finest. I couldn’t live under that insane tyrannical government though.

I couldn’t either, which is why I moved to NC after living in the Los Angeles area for 40 years. I love the state for its history and natural beauty, but the Dems have made it unliveable in far too many ways.
