Back in New York City for the first time since George W. Bush’s first term and drenched in the politics of the Donald Trump era, last night’s Grammy Awards tanked in the all-important ratings, was rockin’ with multiple wins for a very non-political Bruno Mars and a very very political Kendrick Lamar.
The more than three-hour long CBS show also had an audio book audition cameo by Hillary Clinton a use or two of the censor button, a lot of U2 and Sting, a powerful Time’s Up speech by Janelle Monáe and an equally powerful performance by Kesha and a chorus of supporters.
There was a “Jay for President” shout out from Lamar for a Trump scrapping,
With a 12.7/21 in metered market ratings, the Recording Academy’s big hootenanny was way down from the early numbers for the LA-based February 13, 2017 59th annual show. By way down, I mean a just over 20% decline from last year to what looks to be an all-time low for the ceremony.

The biggest loser at the Grammys last night was HR Clintoonie. She loses everywhere she goes.
You would have to pay me at least $3 million to watch a 3-hour grammy show on television.

I don't EVER watch Rap Crap, or so-called "entertainment," but I did hear a barely literate female african scream, lecturing us who actually work for a living "time's up for the abuse of power!!"
After pausing in my laughter, I thought to myself...
Perhaps this parasite should look at the biggest abuser of power of the 21st century, the unindicted, unpunished, Criminal, Ugly, Fat, smelly Cow, what'shername wife of Monica's boyfriend... the stealer of hundreds of millions$, the "almost" president, the loser, shrieking historical abuser of American culture and politics!

...sorry, garbage night around here is Thursday...probably why I missed it.
I was binge-watching “Humans” last night on Prime. If I’m gonna live in a make-believe land...at least the fake humans are gonna be beautiful.
Those “award” shows are nothing more than arrogant people patting themselves on the back, thereby getting more attention than any of them deserve.

I will give credit where it's due, he is pretty talented. I was shocked to see he can actually play guitar pretty well...he's no Prince, but not bad at all.
What this country truly needs is an award show that honors the people in our military, our police, the fire fighters, our great doctors and surgeons, our nurses and medics, public servants, etc. Those are the people I would want to see awarded for what they do, NOT those self important fools that pat themselves on the back for acting, singing or playing a sport.
We recorded it, fast-forwarded through the PC/Trump-hating BS, caught the few decent songs (Little Big Town, the Fats Domino/Chuck Berry tribute, etc). Otherwise this was the BET Hip-Hop awards. Rock awards weren’t even on the main stage. Shame on the Grammys.
During trivia when the category is grammar, I loudly proclaim “both of my grammars are dead.”
I have no idea why anyone celebrates such people.
As I scan my library collection, the compilations of today’s “hits” draw a yawn. Who are these idiots, and you call this “music”?

It never ceases to amaze me that some Americans actually care what “famous people” have to say on the issues of the day simply because they’re famous. What a turnaround from the days when people like Charlton Heston were marching with Dr. King without making a big deal of it.
Why dont they have 50 different awards shows for science and engineering? You know the people who help make civilization possible rather than simply making air vibrations that mimic the sounds of mating cats?
Jay-Z & Hillary Clinton...two known criminals. Only thing any objective fair viewer can say is.....Them “Grammies” is Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest. These folks gotta be stoned with reefer or, just simply totally insane.
Jay-Z, Maxine Waters, Joe Kennedy, etc., will all comment on the POTUS, Trump SOTU speech, Tuesday night. Trump will be heeded and watched by tens of millions of supporting, Americans, etc. and these three buffoons, will be heeded and watched by a few hundred nutcases, just like they are. LMAO!!!
